Are you going to tackle his recent work "Jerusalem"?

I love swamp thing. He uses feminism in his story mixing horror where a woman becomes so frustrated about female expectations she turns into a werewolf

I think Voice Of The Fire is going to be a nice bit of easy-reading introductory preamble, compared to the vaunted dense literary monolith, Jerusalem (due in 2016). Apparently, Moore found the setting of Voice Of The Fire a bit too unbridled. So for his new million-word dissertation, he will focus entirely on the changes that transmute the patch of waste-ground where his granny''s house stood in the 1950s, beginning with the Paleozoic era and ending with the Big Crunch.

If you can't be bothered to even get the name of the book right then please explain why I should bother to listen to what you thought of it?

This reminds me of Cloud Atlas at least on some points. Where does he get his ideas?

+Let's Read I have this sneaking suspicion he takes a lot of his ideas from religion and philosophy (it's something I'm planning on discussing in my Promethea review). It's very similar to Cloud Atlas.

Marcel Schwob and Borges did something similar.

I'm planning on reading this and your review has made me much more interested. Have you read his other novel Jerusalem? I've read and it and heard it covers a lot of the same ground. It's such a great book

Very interesting read. I did not take Gaiman's advice and started at the beginning. Had no trouble at all understanding what was going on, despite the faux primitive speech manner. Dark and enjoyable experience. I own a copy of Jerusalem, but have been too chicken to start it.

Great essay review. I liked the book a lot too, especially the early pre-hxtoric chapter in which he imagines what familial love mite have been in some neanderthal proto-language
