"Crazy Neighbor" seems like the perfect traveling companion. Assistant chef, seems equally content to joke around as to sail in silence. Holds down the fort.

@@bensmith4563that’s the two main things I refuse to let keep me down and I’m poor. You can pull off what they did in this video, several things you need if you keep trying I’m sure you can acquire for free, then put back 20-40 bucks a month until you get the rest. It’s really not that hard to build the raft they built. Honestly it’s mostly just measuring and cutting wood, screws, and ratchet straps… stuff you can easily learn if you don’t know how yet.

The friendship between these two, despite what appears to be somewhat of an age difference is pretty unique and cool. Doesn't appear to be any arguing or awkwardness...just two buddies sailing along a river on a homemade float, cooking some tasty food and sharing an adventure together...just because. The World needs more of this.

@@jaywillzxrp2691 In my younger years (I'm almost 50)- I was the same. I loved spending time with my elder neighbor- she talked about her childhood, taught me how to cook some of her "secret" recipes- we could chatter and laugh or be silent and still content no matter what. The night she passed- I was driving home from work- I was 23. I saw a falling star and I know- that was her saying goodbye. She was the grandmother I needed- and we weren't related (although she was my aunt by marriage- aunt)- she was a gem and every time I see a sunset coming over the mountain where I live- I think of her.

I realized while watching this trip that Steve has a great friend in crazy neighbour. Yes I've seen them both in past episodes but a lot of men lose touch of their good friends as they move through life. New friend or old friend, this is great to see the companionship. Steve as a person has a lot of cadence when involving crazy neighbour in the dialogue. I've been so looking forward to this episode. Thanks!

You're supposed to install tire stems into each one of those barrels. And you should have a bike pump. With no pressure in those barrels water will find a way in overtime. Some will be faster than others. However if you put 10:15 lb of pressure in each barrel.... The leaking happens the other way. Little drain valves are helpful too. This way if you do get water in one of them. You use your bike pump to pump it up to about 15 pounds. you open up the drain plug and all the water shoots out. Simple upgrades

Been skipping these boat videos thinking I wouldn't enjoy them as much as stealth camping videos. I was wrong. This was another great adventure with Steve. Very relaxing and fun video. Keep it up. Can't wait to see the rest of the river. These videos are a great escape from daily life. Thanks Steve.

Well, I've watched the whole episode 3 times now. Being someone who's worked in producing documentary for years, I have to say how wild it is that Steve can shoot and edit these hour+ river boating documentaries within a WEEK. I admire Steve's professionalism when it comes to creating this content for us. He's clearly thinking the video through with every clip he records, and has clearly done his prep work beforehand. Not to mention, meanwhile navigating a raft on a shallow, unwieldy river! Couldn't imagine a rafting/camping partner as cool as Crazy Neighbour... always up for an adventure and is obviously genuinely great company. I know a TON of time and effort goes into making these videos, but boy does Steve make it seem easy... he's just "got it" - and I'm sure his rapidly growing fanbase here will agree! Certainly my favourite channel on KZbin, certainly better than 99% of "reality" tv out there.

This video is absolutely beautiful. Start to finish. The music, the nature sounds, two friends pushing through a river and enjoying the ride. I really liked the drone camera shots, and every meal y'all made. I wish you had gotten to go through more of the wooded areas, but the city at night was so cool. And each island was progressively better. Cheers Steve and Crazy Neighbor
