Something curiously addictive about these videos. I think the lack of drama, the unintentional humour, and just the innocence of the whole thing. While everyone else is striving to appear exciting and different, Steve is just a slightly quirky, nice guy. It's refreshing.

@@kentcyclist i get you. but at the same time personally we just need patience with those people. Why. Because they have been taught 'work, watch tv and only go abroad on holiday' and anything different is weird, bad, bum and all those insults. Interesting video. Having been homeless a time or two, I have learned how to camp in urban areas. Little twig hobo stoves work great and using only twigs and small sticks (no larger than a pencil) I would cook the food and heat wild water to purify. Have done those freeze-dried eggs before and that is why it is always a great idea to carry a bottle of hot sauce. The hardest time in urban camping is that after the 89 quake, there were so many other folks who were made homeless and the SF bay area is pretty large and populated and doing stealth urban camping meant going the extra distance to isolate myself from the masses. Forget the police, it was the other desperate folks one needs to be concerned about. And I ate a lot of fish and did a lot of fishing. Foraging for wild edibles helped a lot too. And since I needed to earn money to get stable again, I found some cedar trees to camp under and stash my gear in the branches, out of sight, out of mind. 8 months before I had it together enough to be no longer homeless. And never once got my camps raided. HalleluYah!

Hahaha, exactly. Look at China for example. There's security cameras almost everywhere and tracking programmes are downloaded to everyone's mobile along with email and phone monitoring of anyone under suspicion. America WILL end up that way and those who don't believe it have no idea how unstable the ground has become that the constitution sits on. All it will take is a large enough disaster, such as a great depression style stock market crash or a power outage that disrupts civil order to a large enough degree and the constitution is hereby suspended until further notice with POTUS being given full exec powers. There's already a document drawn up and stashed away for that purpose. Then, up go the security cameras and the facial recognition programmes are put into effect with all the pictures people have voluntarily given through Facebook, Instagram and other social media websites; for "maintaining order and preserving national security" of course.

Only recently found Steves channel and have been watching his videos everyday to make me smile. I'm getting the urge to go camping but no one I know is interested, so watching Steve inspires me to do my own thing. I also love that he doesn't get mad if something goes sideways, he just rolls with it. (if he does get mad like every human would, he sure handles it really well on camera)

Hey, Steve! I'm enjoying all your videos. They are quite relaxing. I have often thought it would be nice to have something like a van or a small RV to camp in by myself but I think it would be hard to relax and not worry about the human-type wildlife. Thanks for sharing your adventures! 🦊🍻🦝

@Bearded rider - I understand what you're saying, but @Azri'el Collier said, "Forget the police, it was the other desperate folks one needs to be concerned about." I find that the police generally don't bother people who are minding their own business and not bothering anyone. But they DO have to get involved if they get a complaint from the public or when one person has been preyed upon by another. (steal their gear, vandalize, assault, etc.)

you don't have to worry about police for sleeping outside. you have to worry about police when sleeping outside on land you don't own.

I’m gonna try stealth camping. Gotta find asymmetrical hammock see if can sleep in it. Steve seems to like it. My go to gear is a tent. Oh ya. I’m 64 grandma. Camping since I was 6. But not as much fun as Steve! Same reason love being outdoors sounds. Air. Nature. Thanks Steve!! U r my inspiration
