My #1 tip is to translate the music you like. Within 3 days you’ll hear the words as the natives do. No need to translate into english in your head. You can learn a ton of vocabulary with music too and you’ll never forget it because the songs create powerful audible memories. Espero que sigas aprendiendo. Llevo casi 2 años con este idioma y me ha cambiado la vida para siempre. Suerte hermana.

«tarde» for 'afternoon' is correct! you probably related «tarde» with 'evening', but we use tarde for both :) If you want to be more specific, here in Argentina we usually say «tardecita» or «tardenoche» for the evening/sunset hours. Also, if it helps, we usually say «a las tres de la tarde» without mentioning «horas». you're doing great, sweetie

@@UnJadedJade We have many word for "not specific" hours of the day: -madrugada: very early in the day, or more specific, when it is still dark. Madrugar is the verb for getting up earlier than usual, or very early. "Madrugué para irte a buscar al aeropuerto"="I got up very early to fetch you at the airport". I believe there is no word in English that translates "madrugar". -mañanita: early morning when the sun has recently raised, or very early in working hours. -media mañana: literally "mid-morning" would be 10 or 11 hours. -mediodía: midday, but may be at 12 or 13. -despues del mediodía: as midday in Buenos Aires is at 13:00 it should be at 14:00 aprox. -tarde: afternoon in general, but may be the first hours, 15-17 hours. If someone tells "nos vemos a la tarde" he should arrive at 15:00 or 16:00. -mediatarde: second half of the afternoon, but quite before of sunset. -tardecita: late hours of the afternoon, start of the english evening. -nochecita: first hours after sunset, english evening -noche: night, all night or central hours of darkness, last hours when awake or sleeping hours.

It's actually basically the easiest language to learn for an English speaker (along with Norwegian, Dutch, Frisian.) " Easy" or "hard" depends on your native language. Japanese isn't so hard for Chinese speakers.
@milagrosrossi260 Жыл бұрын
@@mspococurante Hi! I’m argentine, so, as a native and Spanish student, I can totally assure that it is, in fact, difficult for foreigners to learn from scratch. Not so much for vocabulary since there are many words that have similar phonetics. We have more verb tenses and it makes it harder to associate which is the correct one to use. If it’s hard for us natives, i’m sure it is for foreigners. Cheers.

I agree with you that learning languages can be difficult. When I was a teenager, I spent a year in Norway, and by the end of my time there I could speak Norwegian fluently. A few years ago, in my mid fifties, I attended a language school in Germany. I thought speaking German would be easier, because I’d learnt it at uni first (here in Australia.) It wasn’t! And when I tried speaking German, all these Norwegian words kept creeping in 🤔

Hey Jade! I have been following you for a while now and really enjoy watching you videos. About a year ago, I started using lingoda for learning Spanish after watching one of your videos. It helped me a lot with my Spanisch. Recently, I saw the wage of a teacher display on their shared screen. It’s 9€ per hour (the teacher was from Spain). I was shocked by this. 9€ is below the minimum wage in Germany (where I am from) and really little. It’s hard to live of this wage. In addition, one lingoda lesson for a student costs more than 9€. And usually there are about 3-5 people attending a lesson. After finding this out, I looked at the glassdoor page of lingoda. The working conditions are really bad. Teachers report that it is really stressful working there and they are treated badly. Since then, I feel uncomfortable using lingoda. I also looked into alternatives and bubble try’s to establish something similar, but I don’t know if they treat their staff any better. How do you feel about this? Have you ever thought of it? I really understand why you love lingoda. I did the same and also recommended it to a lot of people. However, now I don’t know what to do about and wanted to tell you about it. Lots of love and a virtual hug ♥️ Elina
