@@cormaro13 What really sucks is that I had my own business and the pandemic killed it. I was doing so well until 2020. Then I had to close, reopen on a limited basis; I wasn't getting business anymore, and I held onto it longer than I should've. Then inflation came along and buried me. I went from owning a house, to renting an apartment, to a weekly rate motel; doing app gigs full time so I can get an apartment again. I've lost everything except my 2016 Honda Civic and as much as I could stuff into a 5'x7' storage locker, I left most of my furniture behind. Needless to say, I'm also really depressed.

The thing I've learned about society is that the people with the most appear to be the least charitable - because in a large portion of people it's family wealth that they've never had to make any contribution to. They don't understand that you're trying to scrap together a few dollars to pay bills while they live in luxury believing they are the main character. I've never had a lot of money, but when I got my first good job as a nurse I make sure to never tip under 10 dollars because even though it's still a lot to me, it's even more to someone slogging deliveries all day.

I have a question for you. I live close to everything. Nothing is more than 10 minutes away. (Which makes it kind of ridiculous that I use DoorDash but hey, I can afford it so I do.) Almost every time I order I’m ordering from a restaurant that is very close to me. But most door dashers stop somewhere on the way to my house and they stay in that spot for as long as 15 or 20 minutes and then they continue on and come to my house. My assumption is that they’re dropping off another order. They’re not stopping at business locations, they’re stopping at residences, which is fine, but I can’t figure out why these stops are so long. When they come to my house they’re here for maybe one minute total, if that. What are these folks doing at these other stops that takes so long?
