Hey Mitchell, I have a question about updates on the PS5 for Gran Turismo 7, hopefully you or somebody can help me out. My system updated awhile back to 1.51, everything worked just fine with the new update. I have raced many daily races etc and finally got my total credits to $100,236,288. I turned on the console today and on the opening screen it talks about the 1.49 update. It's as though 1.50 and 1.51 are no longer installed. I can spend credits for parts but if I win anything nothing adds to my total. I cannot get over the 100,236,288 credits. Do you have any idea how I can get 1.50 and 1.51 back on my system or why I lost them in the first place? Thank you in advance.

I believe that the amoutn of credits that you can earn is capped at 100,000,000, but I have never reached that amount myself, so I'm not 100% sure. Maybe spend a few to get down below the 100,000,000 and see what happens when you get more credits.

This is why I stopped playing GT7, it’s so stupid that the person causing the crashes gets no penalty. Let’s hope it’s fixed for GT8

I cannot see this ever getting fixed. The nature of the game is now to learn how to anticipate an avoid these types of punting issues.

This was my entire week and pretty much every time I race this track. Being as narrow as it is, you get a lot of contact and sour people who act like you are the devil if you touch them.

I actually like this track and just wish that I could get up and down the mountain consistently. One day, I'll be good around here.

I've ran into the same racer Daryl Dixon a few times and he is overly aggressive and can't stand to be overtaken.

It is the nature of the Daily Races I am afraid. I don't normally name people but forgot to remove the names in this one lol. I'll watch for him again in the future.

Not only the penalty system but I also think that's what happens in a "sprint" style race people get so desperate

Very true. There is so little time to get through the pack and if you fall off the back, there is little to no chance to get back again.

Same. D. I’ll never get higher because it’s a shitshow. I refuse to waste my time against psychos and literal kids. It takes one punt to ruin a race and if you don’t finish above p8, you lose DR. Silly system. No interest. Sticking to leagues and time trials.

Definitely the problems with the penalty system shown up here. Other driver's behaviour you can't do much about. It would have been interesting to see at the beginning of the clip if his sportsmanship rating was the same as yours, or if it was a mixed lobby and he was SR B/C/D.

I believe that he was a B/S rated driver and he was still at the end of the race, I could be wrong, but pretty sure. I'm also not sure that he even got a penalty for ramming me off. There are ways to do it and get away with it IF you know what you are doing.

So he got upset at you, for his own mistakes. You take the penalty when he hit the wall, yet when he punted you there was no penalty. The penalty system really is broken. Don't let that get you down though Mitchell, you'll get that DR to A+ yet.

Yup - This is why I gave up on the daily races some months back, but I'm over that now and just laugh this sort of thing off. It is all part of the Daily Races and it makes for fun videos that seem to do well, so all good for the channel.

Hello, the penalty you got was unfair. I'm pissed off by such unfair punishment. I've been shot in the ass more than once to take over a position and as a reward I got a penalty for hitting the wall and as it happened a penalty for leaving the track. Best regards, TOMS 2709

Compete in the Daily Races for more than a day and this happens to us all. The key thing is not to rise to the issue and to keep racing as best as your can and as respectfully as you can.

At this level people expect human like judgement on penalties but in reality it's a video game with Ai guessing how to judge the situation, can't expect too much!

Right, cheatres never truly win. And theres no such thing as saying top 6 and there is for that matter a saying of TOP 5 followed by, Pole 3rd, 2nd, 1st or P3, P2, P1

Yup - I need credits for the last half dozen or so cars, all the expensive ones from Haggarties, but I seem to be winning only parts and low value credits at the moment. Maybe I'll sell the recent free Mazda and GTR to boost the savings.

I might be a brit, but I'm not a hypocrite. It really did not bother me but it did give me a nice video for my channel and that is what this part of things is all about on KZbin. If it bothered me, I'd not have bothered with the video but carried on racing. This one was all about the views and engagement and I therefore thank you for your engagement for this video. It really is very much appreciated.
