In the late summer of 2022, I lived off the grid for 9 weeks exploring and fly fishing some of the west's most remote streams. I recorded every day and started sharing my 9-week truck bed camping road trip after I returned home in mid-October. In part 20, I've driven to this wilderness stream and will spend the next 3 days truck camping in paradise. The fishing is epic!
I started my 9 week road trip on July 31, 2022, and spent roughly 3 weeks in WY, ID and MT. Check out all the videos from this trip in the playlist linked below:

Man O' Man, I remember those good old days fumbling around in my Fj80 , being bounced around like a sardine, trying to read coffee and grit stained wrinkled national forest service and logging maps. Those were some hair raising rides straddling serpentine cliff hangers, riding the forever land wash boards. Those obscure pot holes were killer on my suspension and the occasional submerged boulder lurked below the mud holes. It was so worth the efforts, fixing flat tires, dirty finger nails and fish fingers. Can't wait to do it again this coming summer . Thanks Drew for letting me tag along through What a great place!

Yup, 2nd campsite was much better 🤣 Rising 16"+ cutties! Edit : Whoa your move was smart. Just watched the latest Wild Fly video and they had a deadfall tree take out one of their tents during a storm while they were fishing. Will definitely be checking my camp sites for dead trees going forward...

It appears that the cutthroat at 10:44 has a missing gill plate. Curious if you are seeing that often in your travels? There's a school of thought (rightly or wrongly) up in here in BC that missing gill plates is caused by selenium exposure resulting from coal mining operations. But I would be surprised if there is a coal mine in the headwaters of that stream.
