hello from texas. just wanted to say that you were a huge reason why i got my rebel 500 last month. passed the msf first try and now im a daily rider, and absolutely love it. but it was also good to hear in this video that motorcycling can be such an inconvenience, i felt like i had to be ride or die but now i feel better about sometimes dreading a ride. and thanks for the pep talk about chasing dreams, much needed. soon i want to join the patreon and give back for the ways you have helped me. you are just so raw and honest and it makes people feel less alone in their struggles. you rock and i hope for the best for you and nina.

My motto for the new year is, "It's not that things happen for a reason, it's learning that our response to things has a purpose."

For cross country trips... Plan on taking back-roads instead of interstate. Our country's highway systems are beautiful. It will take about a third as long to get where you want to be, but the trip is so, so worth the time. For the garage/shed... Make a deal with the land owner that if they put in the concrete slab, you'll build the garage. You can do that yourself for way under the $10k you're planning to spend. There are a ton of videos here on the '-tube showing exactly how it's done and all the things you need to do for a solid, secure, inspection-passing building.

But I can not wait yo get back out on her. I’m So excited. Because of your Rebel and how much I liked the mods you have done I was back and forth on which one to get but ultimately I decided on the 1100T. I figured this Rebel riding Grandma doesn’t need to be tinkering on a bike. lol. I will change the exhaust though. Anyway I’m looking forward to see what’s up for you in 2024. Ride safe.
