Proudly Igbo? How can you celebrate this crap? These cities look ugly and overcrowded. I am originally from Benin City, Edo State, but I have lived in the United States since I was 16. I feel very sorry for the Igbos. Had they won the Biafran war, they would have escaped this tragedy known as Nigeria and built beautiful world class cities. Too bad.

It has a worldwide reputation but when you actually visit the city, it looks like a typical impoverished Brown roof city, full of bad roads and dirty buildings. The point I'm making is that there is nothing to celebrate about any Nigerian city, especially considering how long we've been an independent country and all our resources. Why do our cities and towns look so backward and bad.

Both cities should have developed to a better morden mega cities but lack of good governance has reduced the cities to slums, but Aba is better well planned than Onitsha, while Onitsha has more modern infrastructures. Aba is more populated and has more landmass then Onitsha. According to Google Aba covers about 70.2 square kilometers while Onitsha is 38. 7 square kilometers, As at 2022 according to Google Aba has a population of 2.5million while Onitsha has 1.6 million, as igbos we should appreciate these two great cities and help develop them

Here in America, the Igbos are the best educated and have the highest standard of living of all Nigerians, yet, back home, their cities look like garbage.
