IF I wash an engine bay I use garden hose pressure only, spray on cleaner of some sort, sometimes a brush, and I usually put a shopping bag over the alternator to keep the water out of it. When you use the pressure washer it's going to force water in where you don't want it and cause issues.

It's amazing how that dash cap changes the total appearance of the interior.
@BoringIntrovert19823 жыл бұрын
I'm 100% against a cheap cap. Never glue them on.. A: The stress from extreme heat and cold will cause the dash subframe to crack and bust. Soon you're searching the pick-n-pull for a decent replacement or shelling out top dollar on ebay. B: The cap (if glued on) will inhibit your ability to replace the heater core. Unless you want to remove the entire dash assembly. Best to pay the extra $100 for a factory replacement from Mopar or LMC and replace it right the first time.

@@enjoythesho1992 Absolutely! And my daily at that! From work to beach and mountain trips, she's performed all flawlessly. I wanted a Mopar project that was easy and obscure to many. So, I found her on Craigslist for $1,000. The original 3.3L and 42LE trans is surprisingly sound. Exterior parts replaced: entire suspension, all trans & engine sensors, all gaskets replaced (except head gasket), radiator, water pump, battery, front fenders, hood, tires, brakes, wheel bearings, belt moldings, and power to fixed antenna. Interior parts replaced: steering wheel, passenger air bag door, center console, power to manual seat conversion, multifunction switch, ignition switch, door lock actuators, front passenger window motor, speaker, and Kenwood Bluetooth stereo. To do: transmission shift solenoid for rarely intermittent limp mode and a repaint from Maaco. With all of that said, at 192k she will never be worth the time and money invested. A: These were never meant to be saved nor really desired. B: She was involved in a rare SC hail storm last year and she's riddled with dents all over.

That's a cherry 2nd gen! It should fetch a a pretty penny at IAA. Something tells me either she was a special order or she was originally a SLT and the Sport bumpers and grille added after. In 1999 all Sport models had their Sport decals on the each side of the hood near the A pillar. They also had outlined Ram & engine decals on the doors. The Dodge and 4x4 tailgate decals were outlined to match the doors. It wasn't until 2001 when Dodge went back to badges for the doors, the Sport decal was replaced with a badge on the B pillar, and the standard tailgate decals replaced the outlined.
