Abandoned Carl's Jr. - Arlington, TX. One common thing i noticed from our Texas trip in May were the multiple locations of certain restaurants that were closed. Carl's Jr was one example that had as many closed locations as they did open. Another would be the Taco Bueno chain of restaurants which you'll see in the next couple of videos.

I love your Kmart shirt Wallie especially being the old logo. I came across a cup since I've been a Coke collector & I still have a cup from Kmart with Coca-Cola & Icee on the cup which has Kmart red "K" around the top of the cup that says K Cafe. Seeing your shirt made me remember this.

I know where that one is at and it doesn't surprise me because all of the Carl's and juniors are closing down they don't seem to want to say that but they are every liked KZbin video I see we're eating at pearls in Junior like they're not closing down to never hit any videos on the flyer they closing down most places will show their ads on TV based on location but not Carl's and Junior something tells me that they are literally going out of business and are desperate for any add so it doesn't matter if you live 3 to 4 hours away they will still show the ad in your location even though we're not going to go eat three or four hours away I do not know why they are closing down left and right it doesn't make any sense especially when no one will cover the reason on KZbin

That's been sitting there for a few years now. I cannot for the life of me remember when they closed though. I just remembered driving down Cooper St. one day and noticed "Hey, that Carl's Jr. closed. When did that happen?"

A cool video! I've never eaten at Carl Jr's. Then again, we never had that fast food restaurant here in Weirton,WV. As for Hardee's, the only time I ate at Hardee's was when they had the chicken. I ate their burgers, but I liked their chicken better. We had 2 Hardee's here in Weirton,WV,one on Penn. Ave., where Chico Fiesta is located, and downtown on Main St., next door to the car wash.

The Chicken that Hardee's had was made using the Roy Rogers' Famous Chicken Recipe which Hardee's acquired the rights to in the early 1990's. It blew the doors off of the taste of KFC taste-wise. My friends and I bought our fair share of it at the time. Carl's Jr. Parent Company acquired Hardee's in 1997. By this time Hardee's itself had actually changed ownership several times.

I can bet the reason for this Carl's Jr. closing goes back to the old saying...when looking to open a business, the three most important things to remember are: #1 location #2 location #3 location. This Carl's opened in a pretty bad location in an area that further up the road is saturated with fast food eateries and much easier accessed. The location also had a low visibility factor that didn't help. In Arlington.businesses are quite competitive. especially the fast food business. To compete, you have to be in the middle of the action or have a darn good product that really stands out regardless where you are located. It's sad, but whoever choose that location pretty much had already tied one hand behind their back before even opening.

The location was in a good location this isn't location this has to do with probably think that the business itself messed up you'll never find out on KZbin but you will notice by your own experience got something is happening because you don't see Carlson Jr stand anymore you see them only dying out they're in great locations but KZbin wants to act like it's not a thing they act like they're still there they try to sponsor them almost eat Carlson Jr well that would be possible they weren't dying out and I didn't have to drive over 2 hours to find each locations because they're scarce also but you can tell they're desperate and they're dying out because most places do ads based on location like if you have one and driving distance but you see ads even though they're like 4 hours away something tells me they're dying out financially somehow something's happening within the company I think that's causing them to die out

Abandoned Taco Bell here ( 901 W Arbrook Blvd, Arlington, TX 76015 ) if you wish to check that out, though you may not be able to get any interior shots, due to the fact inside windows are covered with black paper I believe, it’s Ben closed for like a year if I had to guess, I drive by it pretty much all the time, and Over time the paper they used on the inside windows has started to fall down, so you should be able to see inside on some parts of the building

Hardee's is popular up north (midwest) where I'm from which I love Hardee's. The first Carl Jr's I've seen & eaten at was in New Mexico. Thank you for sharing Wallie and Kayla!

It's known as Carls Jr in California, they are actually big in the west coast and in AZ and I've seen a lot of them in CDMX and Monterrey. The CRJR(Hardees) in TX was a different Franchise. It looks like the ones in TX closed down to share space with Lowes gas stations.

I have a couple of closed down Hardees not far from my home. They weren't open for very long for some reason. They've been closed for a couple of years and one has been tagged multiple times. I went past the other a couple of weeks ago and there was a sold sign on it and it looked like it was being renovated. I wonder what it will be. On another note, it's great that you tried fried alligator because it is pretty good. My wife and inlaws are from the northeast(NY), and I can't get them to try it. I didn't know you could get it in Texas, it's not hard to find here in Louisiana. Nice video, keep up the good work.

I'm not surprised to see more Carl's Jr. locations closing in Texas. They literally closed almost all of the locations in the San Antonio area in mid to late 2017 without warning. I think only one location remains inside of a Love's Travel Shop location. Not sure why it happened, probably because other restaurants fared better like Whataburger, McDonalds and Burger King. My closest former Carl's Jr location located at The Shops at Alamo Ranch is now a Chipotle, and most former locations I've seen are now Arby's.

Oh yeah. Very very briefly in the 90s they rebranded some hardees in central Illinois to carl Jr but reverted them back. Hardees did try the Chicago area again, but failed again. They have good food. I guess the chain is struggling.

Hardee’s was better before the Carl’s Jr. buyout. They Hardee’s menu has started to look quite similar to the one before the merger. The Big Hardee is very similar to the Big Twin on the old menu. I have never seen a Carl’s Jr.

Carl's Jr. bought Hardee's. Hardee's is nothing but the east coast name for Carl's Jr. now.

The reason that one closed is the reason that a lot of them are closing their all dying out no one wants to make a video on it on why they act like it's not happening like they're still around but they're actually losing business left and right in Texas and probably other places from the sounds of it see one or two people to comment section saying they wish they had them in their state like they used to

There were at least 5 locations in San Antonio, but they also closed about 1-2 years ago. I went to the one by where I live once, and it was good, but Whataburger and other local burger places were better.

Mushroom swiss burger and their fries were so good but the problem is that instead of a plain buns they used sweet Hawaiian buns and it made the swiss burger taste nasty yuk not worth five bucks.and their raisin cinnamon biscuits and gravy and biscuits with those hash brown rounds and their spicy chicken..

There once was a Burger Queen chain. The company lost a copyright lawsuit filed by Dairy Queen. Eventually, they became Druther’s restaurants. They ended up as a part of Dairy Queen.
