I love when Explomo explores these houses. I love watching you guys. You all are my favorites. And Remen is correct on that knife looking thing in the bedroom; it's to open envelopes. The cash register I assume they have bc they were organic farmers so when they would sell their fruits or vegetables they would use the cash register to tally their amounts. Enjoyed this house. ❤ always from Texas. ✌🏻

3:01 Found a similar Vintage Lowrance Sonar on ebay. This Lowrance X-15 Computer Sonar is a fish finder. So apparently he increased his fishing by using this device. 17:46 I believe is a Letter Opener. Probably a relative stayed to care for them. Once the upstairs repairs were more than they can handle, being a safety and health issue, they had leave. A relative stayed at the home for a while, looked through a couple of things for something particular at the request of the family, the riffle might have been removed by family, for safety reasons and not stolen. Hope they lived a happy and adventurous life in their home.
@kkingshott3 жыл бұрын
The "fish finder" "vis vinder" by Lowrance would be attached to a boat hull "boot romp" below the water line (onder de waterlijn). It would give an approximate depth that the fish were swimming to hopefully increase the chances of the angler catching a fish. This is especially helpful on the Great Lakes that surround Michigan in the United States, which are wide and deep. This model would have been sold around 1985

This was a really interesting explore. So many pictures and mementos that really gave me a good idea of what the occupants were like. I have a whole big box full of pictures and I wonder if anyone will ever look at them after I'm gone. Your programs have helped me come to terms with death. I don't fear it, since it is completely natural. All part of nature's way which we don't know all the answers to. Why we are here is never answered but I think we should enjoy our life while we explore all of life's mysteries.

Hello Maureno and Remon! It is always very nice to meet abandoned houses with you. We wondered what were the last movements that people made in each room of the house, which were the last objects to be touched. I am really excited to see objects and environments standing still ... it saddens me more at the same time, happy to know the past. I would love to restore the houses, the objects and bring everything to life .... a knife that you found in the room below on the desk is an old letter opener, I had one that belonged to my grandfather. Ah! you cut your hair, you look beautiful! A big hug !

Hi Maureno and Remon, Explomo, The introduction to this video was lovely to watch and had even a poetic quality. - I liked to watch you walking through this house. - It's a pure pleasure to listen to your comment and see how very respectful you are handling everything in this house, like for instance the drawers being a litle bit stuck. - Of course it was also sad to see, how some parts were trashed or slightly vandalized. - Very interesting explore! Wishing you happy and more inspiring explores. - Blessings, peace and kindest regards.

Hi Maureno and Remon, the word ancestor is pronounced ansester 👌😉. The G in organic is pronounced gah not jah. When you see a man's suit it's just called suit not gentle suit. The black box by the television is most likely for a TV subscription service similar to SKY. The picture of the horse at 18:31 is for horse racing. The yellow tag is for cattle so the government can keep a track on where the cattle have been etc. They could have used the cash register if they sold things on the farm like eggs, vegetables, jams etc. The white hand was most likely used for holding finger rings and necklaces. Holy crap that little tricycle at 26:20 brings back memories as it was the exact same model I had as a kid in the 70's lol. Another beautiful old house just sat in silence, thank you both so much for taking us with you, much love to you both. 😘💖xx

Hey Maureno and Remon, the strange looking electronic appliance you found 04:44 is called a ‘Teasmade’. It is essentially an alarm clock that makes a steaming hot cup of tea or coffee for you when you wake-up, without having to leave your bed. The concept can be traced back to 1891 when its inventor Samuel Rowbottom developed the first ‘Teawaker’, which became known as the Teasmade from 1932. Hugely popular in the 1960s, 70s and 80s, they became a design icon and are still available today. Click on the Amazon link to see what they look like in the 21st century. Swan Teasmade: amzn.to/38eU653

The Lowrange device is called a depthfinder used on boats by fishermen to locate schools of fish. The first horseback photo was a gentleman getting ready for a Fox hunt it appears and the whip you showed is a riding crop and there would be no rope on the end of it. The knife on the desktop is a letter opener. The 2nd photo Of a horse was definitely from the racetrack the man riding is a jockey. The tall grandfather clock is definitely missing the weights and chains required to run it. The box stuck in the dresser drawer with someone initials engraved on in looks like a humidor for cigars or tobacco.
