One night in February of 1982, rural Georgia police got a disturbing 911 call from a mother in panic. Her 16 year old son Thomas had just been brutally stabbed to death while he was asleep in bed. When Georgia dispatch showed up to the grisly scene, they discovered the teenager had been murdered by his 14 year old sister, Rachel and she was nowhere to be found.
And we later found out, she didn't only intend of killing her brother that night.. she also had plans of killing her parents but because of the screams of her brother as he was being stabbed to death, she panicked, dropped the knife and escaped out the back door and ran into the woods.
So a little bit about Rachel, she seemed like a normal 14 year kid, she made decent grades in school, she was quiet, but from the outside looking in, nothing seemed out of the ordinary
BUT According to interviews with Rachel's siblings, she was very troubled from an early age, she didn't really have any friends, and she spent most her time alone in her room
but as she got older, Rachel became more and more reclusive and it was around this time, she developed a fascination with Satanic worship and began practicing satanic rituals in her bedroom, right next to her brother Thomas' room. And to this day, her parents blame the murder solely on Rachel's Satanic practices.
HOWEVER the plot to this story gets even thicker… check this out-
in later interviews with 2 of Rachel's siblings, they introduced new details to this story that paints a much broader picture of what might have truly been going on the household. They claim that from the age of 7, Rachel along with her younger sister was being molested and abused by Thomas
But that's not all
Allegedly, Rachel's FATHER, had also been molesting the two girls. Her father of course denies these claims and says that the devil made Rachel do it and not perhaps years of sexual, emotional, and physical torment she had to endure before she finally snapped and devised a plan to murder her own brother and parents.
During the very brief investigation and court proceeding Rachel's story of what happened to her as a child matched perfectly with what her two siblings claimed… nevertheless, she was giving a harsh sentencing to 28 years in a mental facility in Florida.
Apparently after the murder, the family moved pretty from the small Georgia town and never really looked back… understandably so. But here's another kicker- they left everything inside the 1884 home and they didn't sell it either. Grant it, I imagine it'd be a tough sell considering what happened there.

Oh my God I remember that like it was yesterday. She was 16 years old pregnant with twins. They found her in a motel room I don't remember if she was with her brother at the time or she was with another man and she had her cat with her. She would not go anywhere without that cat because that was her life. That was a very sad day in 1982. I don't know what happened to her children.

There’s a lot of strange things about this video. I’m amazed at the lack of mold, dust and decay in a 40 year old abandoned house. And the tv is also very old for 1982. I know black and white tv’s were still around and many places still felt like the 1940’s, but it’s worth pointing out. I was born in the late 70’s and growing up you could still feel the presence of the earlier decades - the 40’s, even the 30’s and earlier in some places. Time moved so much slower and consume electronics and technology were fairly stagnant. People had tube tv’s, cable was brand new so that was a luxury, my grandparents had old furniture dating back to the 19th century - it was just different. The ‘modern age’ as I refer to it didn’t start until 1988 or so. That’s when cd’s, newer looking cars and tv’s, etc became more common. Kind of a microcosm of the way progress was very slow prior to the 20th century, and then suddenly the world was completely changed.

I really like how you summed up the difference that existed before the late 80s. I can definitely agree with that. Especially being in the rural north. I get pretty nostalgic for the earliest days of my youth, being born in '81, which I remember very clearly. The early 80s into which I was born was a different world than the late 90s of which I graduated. God bless you.

@@allisgrace1313I love this insight. I am only 19 and was born in 2003… that’s far aways different from what I’ve ever seen. Things are beyond different, and I do wish I could experience it

@@ashroyer03 Keep seeking wisdom, my young friend. By your comment I get the impression that you are already wise beyond your years. Modernity had already stolen so much from you that you may just be getting glimpses of. I encourage you to look into the thoughts of G.K. Chesterton. Are you familiar with him? A good place to start might be his book Orthodoxy. Also, I encourage you to look into what was REALLY going on with the French Revolution. And then WWl and the aftermath. This will help you start to understand this world you have grown up in. All in not as it seems. Might I pray for you Aaliyah? And if so, what prayer would you place on my heart? May God richly bless you and yours.

Your summation of the video, and the tracking of time, is beautifully stated. I was born in 1965, and, while I had parents who loved me, they were not very good parents. I come from a violent background, that said, this video resonated much of what I experienced, murder aside. My childhood was a battlefield and time moved slowly. What you said about the shifting of the era is so true, but I would take it a little further back to about 1985. That’s about the time when the glitz and aerobic fitness craze that marked the’80’s came upon us. Even so, I agree with you that everything after 1988 would seem to move as if it were an HG Wells novel. We are living in a age now, in which, fashion and design borrows from times long since past.

The unfortunate thing about the antiques is that the kids don’t want them. I have several beautiful pieces. Told my child who is 22 I would haunt her if she didn’t at least take her great grandmothers desk. Her namesake. People buy them up for cheap and paint them for resale. 🤯 They want all this new looking furniture, but with the antique quality which you can’t find at a retail store.

I'm a new viewer of your videos and have truly enjoyed them. This one truly resonated with me being an older person; it could have very well been the home I grew up in. The art work you were curious about was very common in the 70s- hand crafts were VERY popular. Macrame, ceramics, etc and was found in almost every home. The folded flag you found in the dresser drawer is what is presented to the family of a person in service upon death at their funeral. I still have the one presented to Mama when Daddy died and it will be handed down to my son. The cabinet in the bathroom you admired is a French style vanity and the gold on it is referred to as 'gilding'. That was a symbol of craftmanship and status to have gilded items. You can tell older things were made with craftsmanship, made with quality to last. Even electronics like the tvs. We had repairmen who would come out and repair our tv rather than throw it away and buy another. That was true of most everything we bought and owned and, honestly, I long for those times again. We took pride in what we owned, saving to purchase, taking our time picking items out based on how long it would last, could it have multiple uses, etc. I hope the younger generations will try some kind of craft whether it be wood working, ceramics, whatever, and start this trend again and get us away from a throw away society. It's a wonderful feeling making something with your hands; knowing you are contributing something of beauty and use to the world. I have to admit, while watching your videos I do correct you on some things but that's just because I have a number of years on you so I'm familair with so many things that cross your paths. Keep exploring and sharing your adventures and finds with us. Wishing you many more blessings

Hey Jeremy, the trip through this house was definitely wild and I had a lot of thoughts. It sure makes you wonder where all the people ended up. How many are still living? The antiques are priceless they left behind. Did the girl that murdered her brother, did she ever get out of prison or wherever she ended up? How old is she now? There's a lot of questions for sure. Your videos are great. THANKS

@@janmariablackwell8138I agree! I live in the northeast of the US and some of the homes here are this old and even older. As he was going through and pointing out things that he thought were “priceless “ or “antiques “ I was looking at things like the original stained glass panels and fireplace mantles/inserts… not to mention the trim! OMG the trim! Your right about all the clutter inside (couches, chairs, tables etc) being absolute junk! It looked like furniture that was bought in the 50’s at the earliest and nothing older than that. A lot of it are replicas! There is no way that they are original antiques from the 1800’s. You would be able to tell. I have an antique sofa and chair that are stuffed with horse hair and hand carved detailing alongside all the edges. I’m not trying to be rude, I just want to be authentic

Many States have laws that pertain to abandoned structures, that after a certain amount of years, and if the front and rear doors are not secured , no maintained or any attention for that matter will deem a house or building abandoned and pretty much finders keepers, and also there are ton's of back property taxes owed to the county of said property, and the counties are not interested in the contents of the building, , I am sure they could have back in the day found a buyer, specially for a low price, there is a market for everyone, but now the county most likely will just level the home and all its contents into a big hole that's what usually happens to make room for future condos or of the like, emanate domain will kick in, it happened recently in my town dozens of old farm houses with no one claiming the properties where leveled to make room for a new highway, I explored some of these homes of which also contained all furnishings and belongings of former tenants all leveled and put into big holes, again EMANATE DOMAIN so that is usually the fate of a lot of these old homes, in the case of this house any families' can of course come and take any of things if any one is still alive, but it's not like anyone is going to make a Police report of theft of anything taken from this house I know this is long winded but it owes explanation I am a retired LEO, so I know a little about the subject, and also if there are no , NO TRESSPASSING signs posted that matters as well, Police just don't want usually a bunch of kids hanging out there where they could get hurt in a decaying structure .

Hi, I'm new here, but I'm really enjoying the video. I was born in 1966, so I'm very familiar with the Americana style of decorating. The Bicentennial was in 1976, and everyone started decorating with the reds and blues with flags, drums and muzzleloader rifles. And somehow the Spanish influence became part of it. As random as it looks now, it was really big in the 70's and 80's.
