@@TheToastPeopleLikely not. As you know, if these winding were vibrating “loose”, the lacquer would’ve rubbed off of them a long time ago and it would be history. Same goes with the laminates, if they were vibrating due to failure of inter-lamination resistance, it wouldn’t last long before significant core loss occurs succeeding a gradual loss of efficiency as the laminates come into electrical contact with each other (they’re insulated on purpose to avoid eddy current and hysteresis based losses)

Playing with electrical/mechanical equipment in abandoned buildings is extremely dangerous, you can get electrocuted, shocked, start a fire, cause explosions, and so on. Always ok to look and document, but never a good idea to play around with that stuff. There are videos on here where Urbex people have caused a few fires, suffered from arc flash burns, and damaged equipment from playing around with stuff. @@qar_ty7732 Actually wrong. While electric boilers are near 100% efficient, electric power generation using gas is only around 40% efficient (coal is typically around 33%). whereas a gas boiler can easily get 90% or more of the energy out.
