AEC (algorithm enhancing comment) I hope it helps bring clicks to your channel. Interesting content from a real sailor. Congrats on your passage. Built my 34' cold molded Kauri boat in NZ back in the early 80's spent 9 years sailing 'round the Pacific before selling it in San Diego. Retired now ,so my sailing is done vicariously through channels like yours. Cheers

What an amazing yacht, to bad you didn't get to sail her due to light/no wind. I crewed on an Oyster 56 and that boat needed 15 knots of wind to sail with standard sails. Great episode Holly.

People" need to be better? What does that mean? Third world countries often don't have resources like privileged Americans... The USA that has bullied militarily and financially for decades... Those people coming from their infrastructure do not understand that the REST of the world doesn't HAVE access to luxuries... Like Garbage pick up, or choices in buying food goods, or recycling trucks, or or or... As a Canadian, I even can't afford half the stuff that my American counterparts can buy because their dollar fiat currency is stronger due to world domination. I really really wish that people would see that it's not the people of countries that are behaving badly, they are just loving hand to mouth most of the time. It's the countries that control their countries... Namely big Pharma, big food, and the industrial war machine... Among others

It must be strange to not have internet. I went years without the " smart phone" because I live in a very rural old 1800 living ghost town which Im trying to figure out how to leave one day. It was simply too expensive to have a 100 dollar phone bill each month. I ended up with a 500 dollar CD collection thinking I'd always have all the entertainment I'd ever need. Even if the grid crashed... lol. Wrong. I'm totally burned out on all my movies. I have ADD. Lol. Sailing is brave because you don't always have another boat passing by. I think this phone represents ALL my entertainment needs. If I lived in a city I'd have a cheaper bill. But rural is expensive. Enjoy the hell out of your channel. Thank you so much!😂❤ wow dishwasher AND a washer!!! Luxury!!!

This past winter, I ended up becoming addicted to good sailing vids and just now found your channel! (new sub- yay!). I'm a semi-retired chef, so working seasonally is a fab thing. It was fun to learn that your fam's in Maine-- where I moved 5 years ago after a lifetime of vacations down in the Sebego area. Now I'm on an island living in this crazy old artist's camp. Sometimes during wind storms (and we've had our share recently) if I'm in the loft, I feel a bit like I'm on a ship... My windy winter hallucinations aside, I just wanted to thank you for such good content! Obv. the apple didn't fall far lol. I look forward to starting at the beginning (or some rando spot) and seeing more of your earlier adventures. Fair winds-- and Cheers from Maine! (abbey)

I worked the Florida keys in the Summer of 1974 off Marathon key. Many mornings the sea was flat as glass, and when the Gulf of Mexico was "in" one could see 100ft. Often we would lean over to check out the bottom and feel like we were going to fall 100ft down. Very weird feeling. ;)
