Police responded to a DV call at the house. There was a stand off with a gun when he got away on the bike. They stayed at the house as it was a crime scene. Oddly enough he returned and they were ready for him.

Back 2009 , just months after my unit came home from Iraq A troubled young soldier in my platoon got into a chase . After he was home he bought and had modified a vintage 80’s ninja motorcycle Him and of his buddies was at a park being loud with music , drinking and carrying on. The cops was called in a “ disturbing the peace “ at the park. As the cops showed up , everyone took off in bikes and cars One of the police cars chased our soldier buddy - At first the call was for speeding, but he didn’t stop And the chase was on - it worked it’s way from streets to freeway His speeds was clocked between 80 to 130 at times When he jump the freeway , a helicopter was called To give chase and cover He cranked the modified bike up and was clocked at 160 to 195 mph And he clipped a mirror on a car as he moved around it , lost control And crash , he was thrown over 80 feet into the grass on the side of the road. He had broken all his ribs , pelvis, both arms and was in a coma for 2 months. After a 4 month recovery and wheel chair - he faced 5 years for evading police and public endangerment ( he got the time because of his service- and was under treatment for PTSD ) He was later released under care of the VA. In 2015 he walks with a cane and has memory loss , left arm ( 3 inches shorter than the right ) at 70 percent usefulness. The wrecked ninja is now at his brothers house and slowly restoring it. Harper our comrade in arms took his life in 2021 - reason the pain would not go away no matter how many pills and morphine he took

@@Wheeler63 Not saying they can't do over 100 because my Buell 1200 redlined at 7K did 140 but, for the chases you rarely see and H-D going over 100 for any length o time. This guy would spurt up to about 98-100 and then back off almost immediately. I rode an Electra Glide Ultra when my Buell was in the shop and you needed to be doing over 80 to use 6th gear. Baggers never really been my thing though although Moto America Bagger series is pretty entertaining. Keep the shiny side up.

Add that to marital strife (remember the police were initially called to the home due to a “domestic” dispute). That combination is more than enough to take a man, or woman, down. He looks to be in his 50’s to me guessing from a distance & with the exception of today’s adult generation, his generation didn’t earn millions from real estate as the baby boomers did. This is the reason our banks are “swimming in shallow waters” & they pass that onto the consumers, unfortunately, ALL OF US. The Fed Reserve is trying to get consumers to buy LESS which is why the interest rate has gone up consistently in the past year. That’s why Jerome Powell, the Reserve Chair, tweeted so much yesterday, making no promises.

There's lots of complainers, lots of people with loads of "stuff" and still seem to be unhappy. I worked in a few third world countries in my life and gained perspective on just how rich our country is and simultaneously angry and unsatisfired people seem. This guy's childish ride through the streets reminded me of high school students (I'm a teacher) when asked by teachers or Admin to stop and show ID, or to stop doing what their doing and they walk off with double fisted middle fingers in the air. I'm a bit older than this guy, (and white) and realize how easy it was for an averge person like me to make a nice life for myself. Any big problems were always of my own making. It's not necessarily the size of the tank of gas, also fuel economy, have a 2000 GMC Jimmy that can go for about 100 miles on a tank and a 82 Yamaha cycle that can go about 160 mi on tank, and some cycles can't go "fast" the Yamaha tops out at about 108mph
