My Younger Brother is Artistic. I never let him move around solo "NEVER". People are highly aggressive and ready to hurt someone for no reason. And plus me being a caretaker I can accidently get emotional and get someone taken out ⚰️ with a couple of dollars. Caretakers must protect their love ones who can't fully function at are survival level 24-7. I'm sorry Bro had to experience that and hope he heals well. Anyone who has a mental challenge family member or friend you must protect them 24 hrs throughout the day to avoid demonic attacks occurring. Hell my ex dropped dead on the 2/5 line in February of last year on the train platform and there’s cameras there but no one saw anything!! He was down for over 40 minutes before the ambulance arrived and they immediately intubated him right away and he was later pronounced brain dead in Kings County Hospital a few days later!! He died of an overdose, of his own doing!! He was out cheating on me with a prostitute and his friend picked him up when he left our house for the hospital, so he said but he left the hospital to go to a hotel room and partied until he decided to lie and say he was headed home but he never came home and I got the call from the police saying he was found unresponsive at the train station!! So those cameras are worthless to me because he was obviously with someone because his wallet and all his stuff was still on him even the bags of empty heroin and coke and his boxers along with his f***ing condoms from his fun night that ended up killing him!!!!

That's why I always try to keep an arms length from any weird looking fuckers out there. Granted, I'm no longer a regular rider but I used to take the subway more frequently over a decade ago to get to/from /work/school. My advice would be never make eye contact, ever. If you see someone smoking, or playing loud music, keep your mouth shut. Remember you're just trying to get home, so the best thing to do is mind your own business. Never make that mistake of putting on your headphones with your phone out and not being able to hear or not paying attention to your surroundings. If you ever get that slight feeling of something being off, trust your instincts and leave immediately. Get off the train and wait for the next one. Just gotta read body language, and learn to profile a bit. If something looks sketchy, it's sketchy. If it's very late, I'll just opt for a Uber back to my place. I would not feel safe riding the trains at night anymore. This city is broken. It's a real shame.

I'm autistic and also have hearing loss and some physical issues as well. Once on a train to NY, when we were getting close to the station, the girl sitting beside me (next to the window) apparently asked to get up, but I didn't hear her b/c of my hearing. When I did realize what she was asking for, I was a little slow reacting b/c of my autism. I tried to ask her to wait till we got to the station (because i have trouble standing on a moving train) but didn't say it clearly. She shoved past me, intentionally trying to be as rough as possible. After we stopped, she was still standing in the aisle b/c of other people in front. I took a picture of her and when she saw me, she walked back to me and hit me, sending my phone flying. When I got off the train I looked all over for a police officer, there are usually a lot, but I couldn't find any. Finally I was going to be late so I started towards my subway and finally spotted some. But when I told them what happened they said they couldn't help, I had to tell NJ police because it happened on a NJ train, even though the train was in NY when it happened. At that point though, I didn't have a clue where to find a NJ police officer in NY and I was hurting from all the walking and I was going to be late so I just gave up. My mom was just as upset as this man's dad; I was pretty shaken up too. You never know what's going on with a person - not all disabilities are visible - don't be a jerk just because they don't react as fast as you think they should, don't respond the way you think they should or don't act the way you think they should.
