@DamageIncM I thought those were stupid, sensationalist questions by someone fishing for "psycho soundbites". You could tell the guy actually had feelings about both the baby and the girl that survived. The baby, I think he probably regrets. He was probably high af during these murders, and just wanted to get higher, but I think he may have had a tinge of regret for that one. The little girl that survived, I bet he was actually proud of her, like in a warped way, he thought "That's my tough little girl" like a weirdo. She survived and prevailed over him, making her the victor. I bet he respects for her for that. BUT WE'LL NEVER KNOW, because this assclown interviewer just wanted to hear about ThE bLoOd

When you interview an person who suffers from psychopathy , i think its always best to let them lead . Otherwise they will not cooperate. Look in all the interviews with people like this, they always need an highly empathic person in their front who let them lead the conversation. An example is the interview with Kulanski Hitman. They are very proud i guess. So the interviewer acted professionally to continue the interview!

+Sandy A Have you ever considered when he says 'her neck was cut', not 'I cut her neck' and 'children got killed' that there was more than one killer in the room at the time and he was eerily describing what he had witnessed to get a sort of evil rush from what hes probably hiding in plain sight: Its known that some serial killers start as one; then end up working in tandom as couples: A little known fact and something the worlds police would not like the public to know: The proof is in the ones who are caught like Myra Hindley and Ian Brady: Some of the things these Killers do are beyond one person; but the portrayment off one; profiling and catching one is easier than admitting the real problem: That is they do indeed work in couples or more: Networks of unknowns who team up for the thrill kill:

I noticed something interesting when watching interviews with these kinds of killers. Many of them claim to be evil and not feel remorse for their crimes, but many times when the interviewer pushes for details or describes something graphic that the killer did. The killer will become upset and will not want to talk about the details. It's strange since they are suppose to be cold hearted psychopaths.

Most psychopaths kill for the feeling of control. They have no hate or love for their victims. It's how they get their high
@DolleHengst9 жыл бұрын
+66kaisersoza It's very interesting because i've seen some of the worst serial killers describe their crimes to the police very detailed, or tell exactly what they did during interviews. Compare the guy in this vid to Edmund Kemper during interview. Kemper is on top of things, calculating, calm, intelligent, and has no problem describing how he decapitated his mother, then had sex with her dead body. Chikatilo and Pichushkin both described in graphic detail how they bludgeoned, choked and stabbed their victims. They even showed it to the police with real weapons, like a hammer in Pichushkin's case, and a knife in Chikatilo's case, using a dummy. Chikatilo even led the police to the sites where he buried some of the victims still missing. Then watched as they dug up their remains. So i wonder, do all psychopaths have this trait of not wanting to tell graphic details? Are the three serial killers i mentioned above not psychopaths?

Not in all cases but in some a lot of them actually is because like all of us in some way they are still trying to maintain an image of being human amd normal like this man and others in the past the reference to the events that happen is often like a "movie" when they watch or are triggered to view the film of their crimes in their heads they know they are going to show indicators of arousel and excitement so for a normal man it would be as if someone sat them down infront of the public and made them watch a porno infront of everyone. It is a very personal intimate moment they either do not like to taint that moment and memory by having others present while having it or still have it embedded within them to be "normal" to anothers view.

+taergehtsiram Of course psychopaths are excellent actors. They smile a lot, because they know it's useful to manipulate people. And of course their way of thinking is so very different to ours, that we wouldn't get hints. But there are a few things that you can keep in your mind. They usually are narcistic, don't have a guilty conscience, their emotionlevel is mostly calm, they will always just think about themself, they have a high craving and might motivation, wouldn't ever see themself in guilt and decide everything by a cost-value ratio. Psychopaths who becomes kriminals are mostly those, who needs emotional kicks, because they feel too little. When they are in a relationship, they see their partners always as their own property, but dont love them. But longtime relationship isn't their thing anyway, probably only when they cheat on their partner. (Sorry if my english isn't correct)

5:30 “You also killed children.” “Yea, some got killed yes” “And you stabbed some of them?” “Some got stabbed yes” The mechanism involved with this type of behavior is quite fascinating. While he is happy to talk about what crimes occurred and the details, he can not affix himself to the crimes. This isn’t done out of fear or manipulation, as this interview was immediately following his appeals to scotus were rejected and his ray denied. It occurs because he simply needs to remove himself from such heinous acts to be able to talk about it face to face. His life is consumed by disgrace and embarrassment, he never did a damn thing right in all his years. There’s not a human alive who doesn’t think he was disgusting and deplorable waste of a life, yet his diseased mind copes with the truth by removing himself like it will have any effect whatsoever to any sane person who hears it. The brain has the position that few things hold where it is the most important, powerful, and productive element of human life whilst remaining able to be diseased enough to be humanities worst nightmare.

@catyork6070 Жыл бұрын
He didn't seem normal at all and, of course, there's always the issue that some people may just be born with a propensity to be cruel, sadistic, etc, and not just become that way from coming from dysfunctional backgrounds and perhaps having been abused themselves. Also, it seems that many killers have suffered some form of traumatic head injuries at some point in their lives, as children say, that may impact their behaviour adversely as well. Either way, Tommy Lynn Sells was a despicable, vile excuse for a human being and the fact that he's been executed means one less blight on this planet.

Most people watch Hollywood films and believe that people immediately die when they have their throats cut is completely wrong. Most serial killers aren't psychopaths. This obnoxious misnomer is a lingering product of inaccurate 70's-esque psychology. Most of them have different issues, such as sadism, malignant narcissism, & a fusing of sexuality & violence and/or a very strong desire to possess & control a person. Psychopaths can't be sadists, because sadism requires empathy..a very twisted, evil form of it, but empathy, nonetheless. Psychopaths also can't have Narcissistic Personality Disorder, as the conditions are mutually exclusive; psychopaths don't have the requisite brain structures necessary for the types of rages & deep, pathological insecurity inherent in narcissism. Psychopaths can have brief, intense flashes of anger, but they don't last anywhere long enough to become the wicked, prolonged rages that are characteristic of many serial killers. This man in the video-Tommy-admitted to having prolonged rages from sexual abuse at a young age. That speaks to psychological trauma, which a psychopath cannot have. Psychopaths would NEVER develop PTSD, because they literally can't. People don't realize just how ridiculously poorly true psychopathy is represented in the media, & even in contemporary psychology. After learning what psychopathy truly is, I can honestly say I have NEVER seen such blatant misinformation spread as widely accepted supposed truths. People, you need to be skeptical of what is fed to you by the powers that be.
@danesworld70856 жыл бұрын
that goes against mainstream psychology. Psychopathy and narcissism are under the anti social block and have many of the same features. However I understand what you are trying to say.
@targetedfinn6 жыл бұрын
It's been estimated by crime psychology experts like Robert Hare and Adrian Raine that 15 to 20% of prison inmates, and half of those convicted of homicide, are psychopaths. Basically, the more brutal or violent the crime is, the more likely the perpetrator will be a psychopath. Yes, there are a lot of psychopaths who don't kill or end up in prison, but instead move up the ladder in the corporate world or politics, or any field, by manipulating and conniving. And they cause great havoc to the society. But if you think most serial killers are NOT psychopaths, or that this guy being interviewed is not one, you're a tool even though you're trying to sound smart and edgy with your comment.

He just doesnt want to give the interviewer what he wants. He wants to retain his power in the situation. When locked up thats all they have. You can see it in the interview here, its not "oh god, dont make me think about the bad stuff i did", its "like fuck am i going to spill the beans on the good stuff without something in return". He understands that the interviewer is also trying to create a spectacle (as much trashy media like this is not really an attempt to understand, but simply the pornographication of misery) and wants to deny him that. To the interviewer, thats the value the sociopath has; to say shocking things that will make for good TV. He also knew he wanted to ask about that disturbing detail and had probably planned his own lead up, making the sociopath feel important or whatever. He totally knew it was going to be difficult to pose the question; he knew he was "pushing his luck" by trying to get the gory details out of him and thats why he immediately apologised; to cede some of the power back because in that moment the sociopath realised the interviewer was trying to weedle things out of him; he realised he was being manipulated to reveal more than he might want, which he didnt like and immediately set about putting him in his place and starts shutting down the interview.
@everett86105 жыл бұрын
@@tartanhandbag "Maybe." But I don't buy that. This particular one doesn't follow all the rules of sociopaths and of course doesn't have to. The sociopathic mindset is one of a thrill seeker and exercises control or at least tries of every important conversation like in this case. To pass up the opportunity to toyfully attempt to instill fear ie control with the interviewer would be hard to pass up unless this particular one had difficulties with speaking or sharing of those details. No way to know for sure with a chess match with one because they love eye contact and sincerely which is yet another reason its strange he doesn't take advantage of the physical damaging details. We will never know.
@Harlem555 жыл бұрын
@X4rrr The thing is that sociopaths aren't thrill seekers. Ailleen Wuornos was an example of a true sociopath. Sociopaths are volatile and hot tempered, and have disregard for the rules of society. Sociopaths are not particularly manipulative unlike psychopaths, and are also able to form emotional bonds. This guy was claiming to be a psychopath while showing sociopathic traits based on the nature of the killings and the fact that the confirmed killings were strewn cross-country. Most serial killers (which are psychopaths) do not extensively kill interstate.

His sensitive little ego gets sanctimonious when Martin asks for details. I wonder what his last words were on the execution table? "Yer pushin yer luck". Also, I'm no MMA fighter, but I can almost guarantee I'd knock Lynn out in bare knuckle country fight.

That interviewer was TERRIBLE. The dumb questions were annoying. 8:19 & 9:38 was the most stupid of questions asked. 🙄
@JoshuaCastillo63094 жыл бұрын
He asked those questions on purpose. It wasn’t for specific info about the killings; They already gathered it from the surviving victims. He asked those dumb questions to see HOW he answered, and it revealed quite a bit about how messed up he is. It’s a genius tactic used by non threatening interviewers to get as much insight into their minds as possible.

I just want to point out I thought these questions were idiotic until I thought abt it a little more. At 8:19 I believe the interviewer was trying to see if he'd get into detail or keep his answer vague. Then at 9:38 either the interviewer wanted to know what method he would use to kill him or furthermore analysis if the question would trigger him and kick in an impulse.

No one is born evil and anyone who says that is narrow minded suffering from idiocy. Its a development based on environmental influences, violent parents, lack of affection and nurturing, its always rooted back to childhood experiences. A kid could have the greatest childhood imaginable but because they had that friend no one really really payed attention to, they were allowed to be influenced so one way or another. The lack of basic human needs has detrimental affects on an adult, minds like his are what happens when those needs arent given to children anyone who denies that is refusing to accept how delicate early development is. When something goes wrong its all about the choices people make, PERIOD but when they grow into million dollar stock holders and shits its because they grew up with positive influences, might even been sheltered, basically without the introduction to evil, evil can not exist. There Will be more psychopathic minds in the decades to come because the generations of parents are being more poisoned then the last and arent paying attention to the negative influences they send their kids to school with. No one plans families anymore, they are surprised with them and dont know how to keep their legs closed and pants zipped because of whats pushed into their minds through mainstream bullshit that should have been filtered. We need the filters back.

some people are just evil by nature
@harrybarcode731110 жыл бұрын
If the only purpose you commented was to argue than dont. Your opinions your own and wont influence anyone elses. Nature has nothing to do with the characteristics of people unless you think when a baby is born its first thought is " i cant wait to grow up and do bad shit". Ridiculous concept. That would be evil by nature now is that possible? No, they have no concept of good or bad/right or wrong. People follow by example by nature, if no one introduced you to a tooth brush or told you it was for your teeth would you have ever brushed your teeth or thought to clean them?

I see really harsh comments but can we just talk about the fact that you cannot compare him to yourselves. I feel no sympathy for him at all but to say what he did was completely unexpected is wrong - he literally has no emotion, it does not make a difference to him who he is killing or why. I think people are shocked but for the wrong reasons. Also can we talk about how the interviewer was asking all the wrong questions all the wrong ways?!

After being raped beginning at age 7 over dozen times from 1973-1976, then having the "gifts" of those crimes perpertrated on me mainly Disassociative Disorder, Bipolar I and Complex PTSD ravage my life to this day, my feel is that all rapists, murders if convicted be given life without parole. No death penalty. Make them sit for their life and think regardless if we are paying for 3 hot meals and a cot. In 1999, my aunt was murdered and her killer is in prison for life and has already attempted suicide over 4 times. Let boredom seep into those psychopath and sociopath animals.
