Take the first house for example, 40% off means saving around 200k. That's enough to completely renovate the house, definitely worthwhile.

@@rn3403200 unfortunately short sales like these are "as is" so sellers do nothing more besides move out and take w/ever they want! And IMO short sales aren't worth it and they're not short @ all..reg sale of house takes 30-45 days to close but short sales can take 6mths to 2yrs..it's crazy why they call em short sales. If you want big return Best bet is to buy a cheap home like i just seen 1 bought for 33k completely redone but beautifully and on market for 235k! I just got done building my house bc I HATED every house on market even newer homes bc they're all had cheapest material and builder beige/brown everything..there was 1 we put offer on and there was multiple offers we were beat by 500$ and it sold w/in 24hrs being on market...we went to same builder and built same floor plan and picked everything in it and it only cost us 2k more than the other and it has way more upgrades and MY prefect white cabinet and grey everything house!

Market out here is HOT and so competitive! Is it updated and not builder brown beige everything. Houses out here sell w/ in 24hrs but only modern up to date homes ex. 1s w/ new white cabinets natural stone counters fresh light neutral paint white doors/trim..see alot of peoples problem w/ selling bc they think their brown everything old home that hasn't been updated since being built in 70s is the same COMP value to a updated/new home i just stated is hot on market and newer.. so it just sits on market for over a year and keeps getting taken off market! It's actually cheaper to build a home w/ exact finishes you want then to buy a preexisting home and think your guna fix it up..reality w/ just a basic cheap kitchen remodel you couldve build a brand new house! Unless your getting the home for 35k and fix it w/ quality materials they could sell for 200k. Too many people want way too much for their outdated home ex. Let's say my 3bd 2bth full basement 2car garage brand new home w/ highest upgrades white soft close cabinets granite LVP everywhere cost 200k well then there's a same 3bd 2bth 1960/70s or even 05 home but that has cheapest materials a builder could use ex. Laminate counters..sheet cut vinyl kitchen floors.. brown orangey tone everything like cabinets floors doors trim on market for 190k the home is guna sit and not be sold bc its not a COMP..in reality that person thinks their home is worth 100k more than it is! Maybe do some low cost updating or really look @ market for while and see what's selling and what's sitting forever and you'll get an idea. Of course idk what your home is..i can only state the main issue i see why people are not selling their homes in such a hour market.

I hate that people overreact about smokers! I’m a smoker, that’s trying to quit but my home doesn’t smell horrible like smoke. My mom was a drug addict and alcoholic and she said quitting smoking was the hardest thing to do. I completely understand that cause I’m having a really hard time doing it no matter how much I try! It’s not that we want to smoke it’s that once you start stopping is damn hard! People need to cut us a damn break!

It wasn't easy but we went cold turkey and did it. Only downside for me (not him) is I've put on weight due to snacking 😞 otherwise we're healthier & saving money. Good luck!! 😊😊

Neighbourhood Witch I bought a vape pen but bought the non nicotine kind of oil, realize I gotta start with nicotine oil first. I plan on buying it at the end of this month hopefully, money has been tight my dog got really sick and it’s an ongoing illness now and the meds cost a lot so I have to quit smoking or I’ll be completely broke cause I’m on disability and that’s a limited budget. I’m glad it worked for you and your hubby, I wanna keep away from snacking cause I just lost 40 pounds and don’t want to gain it all back, that’s why I think the nicotine oil might help a bit or I’m hoping? Well good luck, you should be proud cause it’s damn hard!

Not really, if you can do it yourself or get it done for free it's pretty cheap. We had to rip out the entire bathroom floor down to the joists because of some water damage and replaced both the sub floor and the top piece of flooring, then installed vinyl. it was probably under $500 for everything. If you want to be a cheap ass you can paint over it to seal in the odor and lay vinyl or carpet over top.

Sorry Jen... That house at $525,000 that is offered for $315,000 is over-priced. It's worth about $178,000 and then trash-out is deducted from that. A house of more than $1/2 million may be just a marginal value at $150,000. A house near me went from $1.8 million to about $.75 million. It sat on the market for close to a decade and at $3/4 million it was only a marginal deal. A man I know got an absolute sreamin' deal on a house... about $350,000 for $205,000. After many months on the market he was able to unload the house for a $60,000 loss.
