I am 36 years old and I have always been single, I have never been in a relationship. I have been affected since childhood by a very rare genetic disease that handicaps me physically. Despite this, I have no hatred towards women. I understand very well that being in a relationship with me can be complicated because of my physical situation, and I don't blame women. My situation is different from most incels, but they should see things differently instead of being so negative. They don't have any major health problems that prevent them from finding someone. Even if they have had women in the past who have behaved badly with them, not all of them will. Some may not agree, but I think these guys should change their mindset, if at all possible.

I got really close with a friend who had muscular dystrophy. We was in a wheelchair and had limited ability to move his arms and couldn’t move his legs anymore. I considered a relationship with him because we were really close and I cared for him. I decided to not pursue a relationship with him because he got mad at me that we weren’t already in a relationship yet and sort of came at me with a lot of the same rhetoric the incel community has. I called him out on it, but he didn’t quite apologize for treating me less than a person… he kinda took all his frustration out on me and instead of seeing me for me…. As I saw him for him… it made it really hard to connect with him after that. THAT is why I didn’t pursue a relationship with him. Because he let this fear and anger and sadness become bigger than what we actually had together and he put that roadblock up and couldn’t get over that. This was pre-incel online communities too. I can only imagine what rabbit hole he might have fallen through had this happened today. Unfortunately he passed away a few years ago.

the thing is that guys are not picky. Guys have too much testosterone to be picky. Testosterone makes up crave woman. So how can someone who is craving also be picky? For a guy to find a woman attractive, all she has to do is be a 4 out of 10 in the face. And even if shes a 3 or less, she can still use her body or a part of her body to attract guys. Woman on the other hand do not have too much testosterone, so they crave men less. For a woman to want a guy, to allow him to enter into her flirtzone at a minium, the guy has to be a minimum a 7 of 10 in the face (Maybe even an 8 at a minimum). Also, if guys have nice bodies but ugly faces, the woman will NOT want them. For guys, its about having a handsome face with not so many turn-offs (like being short, bad hygiene, etc). I am a woman and maybe now at 46, I am considered by many as "being old", but I am genuinely confused by this. In my experience becoming an adult during the crazy 90s, it was known and understood amongst us girls that looks for a guy were definitely secondary to: fun to hung out with, trustworthy, able to hold a conversation, a bit adventurous, having dreams etc I don't know what happened in the meantime and we now have all these young men (and many quite fine looking in my opinion) who believe they are not desirable or not worthy. I wonder if they stay online all day and night and they hate remotely on situations and people they haven't even tried. Have they put themselves out there? Have they understood that working on your personality is the best way to everything: a good woman, a good job, a loving social network?

I have a more physiological take on this: Nowadays, people spend a lot time in front of their computers and phones, and do not have enough of exercise. This can mess up sleeping, eating, hormones etc., and consequently lead to feelings of depression, fatigue, and unattractiveness. Furthermore, men's testosterone levels are all time low in Western countries. Having low testosterone levels tend to cause low mood and insecurity in men. So basically many young men (and women) feel unattractive, and act accordingly around people which makes others view them negatively - and the cycle continues. I have personally met many guys who look and seem nice but don't have any "fire" or interest in their eyes. They looked like extras from Walking Dead. It's hard to get interested in a man who doesn't seem confident and interested himself.

These men are not victims, as a dude who had an abusive mother, and no longer speaks to her, it does not result in that mentality. When I was in middle and high school, kids and girls made fun of me, called me names, called me ugly, told me no one would ever want to be with me at all - even as an adult it’s still something I struggle with. Ppl wonder why I’m self conscious about my looks. I’ve never been violent towards anyone or mean towards anyone. I get along with everyone. I don’t get what violence or killing ppl solves. I went through a severe depressive period in my life back in 2016 and 2017, and it brought my awareness of being single front and centre, because of how lonely I felt during that time. I never used to care before that, and actually quite enjoyed being on my own, while having close friends. During this period though, I became fixated on relationships, and because I was in such a bad headspace already, each rejection reinforced my persistent negative self-talk, and felt like a gut punch. It was already difficult for me to put myself out there, because I am socially awkward AF, and neurodivergent. And yes, at times, I did envy others who seemed to have no trouble dating at all. But despite that, I never once hated women, or had violent urges in response to rejection. These people (incels) do not know how to process emotions like disappointment without covering it up with anger.
