Whether your goal is to get an EMT Job or pass the NREMT exam this is part of your EMT School and NREMT Review. If you have "no idea" what's going on inside the abdominal quadrants you won't do well on exam day. Watch this video from start to finish and replay it if you need to, take notes and let's get these abdominal quadrants down so you remember it for life, let's start these EMT lectures! My mother died this past Sunday in her sleep. I went to check in her shortly after midnight because she had been sleeping for a while. When I went to check on her she wasn't responding and didn't look well so I called 911 right away. The cops and paramedics came and they were AMAZING. The paramedics did all they could but sadly she passed on. One of them talked to me after and he was really nice and gave me words of encouragement. I've thought about it before but after Sunday I feel inspired to become a paramedic

I came across your videos when I first signed up for EMT school. I thought you were a little aggressive. Now that I am getting ready for my NREMT, I watch your videos and am so glad you cut through the extra b.s. and get to the point. You explain things plainly, if I wanted an overshare, I can re-read a chapter. Thanks for the videos!

Awesome video! I actually thought of a great way to remember this. I think of the work GLASS.... So starting with RUQ its GL (Gallbladder and Liver), then moving down you have A (Appendix), then moving to the LUQ its the two S's (spleen and stomach). I know its not including the colon but that's just a way I like to remember what is where haha

I think of it as GLASS PAN to also add in the pancreas in the LUQ. Which fits perfectly because glass pan = baking dish. Pan = pancreas

I always remember Appendicitis and Ascending Colon both start with A; Diverticulitis and Descending Colon both start with D (also a Diver Descends underwater). For the liver, I remember it being a large, lobed organ like the lungs. Both the liver and lungs are larger, with more/bigger lobes on the right side, and smaller on the left side, so the liver takes up more space in the right quadrant than the left.
