I know Ren and the other guys in the Big Push are all cool with each other and they've collaborated a bunch since. I think they stopped playing together when Ren got really ill. The Big Push didn't break up as such. Ren knew he was going to Canada for months of treatment so already had his Sick Boi album songs ready for release, the drummer Glen went to live in Australia, Gorran went off touring around different countries busking, Romain stayed living in the UK and brought out his own solo album. As you watch more The Big Push you will realize they are all super talented musicians and singers. Romain has already played again with Ren when they did Money Game 2 live on UK tv show a few weeks ago. But he wasn't recognizable because he had a money sack on his head 😄

The next song they played after this was War Pigs (its actually a medley of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne and a bit of Rage). Well worth a watch. Romain played guitar whilst wearing the hood in Money Game part 1. He was Ren's room mate when they played in the Big Push together, they lived in the apartment that is featured in the videos for Murderer, Losing It, and Bongo Bong.. Goran the bass player (he also sings and plays guitar and blues harp) also lived with them for a while during lockdown. The did a cover and video of David Bowie's 'Hero's' during lock down that is brilliant..

The reason the red suspenders version is always requested is because this was recorded into a multi-track and mastered by Ren instead of a camera mic for the other version. They are an incredibly tight band considering they improvise, and every performance is different by choice.

You have to listen to War Pigs the Black Sabbath cover. It is from the same busking session but a lot more people showed up. It is crazy how they can have a concert level performance on the street. Also the Big Push was just getting big at the time but they had to break up because Ren had to move to Canada for his medical treatments.

Romaine is a phenomenally talented guitarist from France, and has a personal affectation for wearing victorian style dresses when performing. Wait til you catch more of the Big Push for some epic solos. Icarus, Watch Out, War Pigs cover, soooooo many others. Setting aside how talented and tight they play together, you can just look at them and see and feel the joy coming off them. Major props to you for sliding on the glasses at the start, but not staring directly, choosing to respectfully side eye ogle Ren. lol P.S you were thinking of scat, the style of singing, and while Ren is supremely talented, no the last section of singing wasn't improv, it's another song he's doing tribute to.

6/5/21 at Ship Street, Brighton, UK. Check my channel main I have a playlist. Here's the playlist description: In the afternoon of June 5, 2021, the full band returned to the usual busking spot: corner of Ship street and North street to perform. This was not the first time they went back busking on the street after the lockdown since last year (2021), but this time is different as they came prepared. With the recording devices fully setup (albeit some minor hiccup later found), all the instrument, vocals, acoustics and vibes were captured perfectly (adding Ren's meticulous and perfectionist style mixing effort). The result is what we knew nowadays as the legendary so-called "Red Suspender" busking session (as Ren wore that). The band released 4 official videos from this set including: 1. I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop (cover, Bob Marley/Damian Marley/Dead Prez) (Note: There's a short section of the song "A Little Bit Of Luck" from Dj Luck & MC Neat in this mashup song, but did not included in the video title) 3. War Pigs (cover, Black Sabbath) (Note: this is a mashup actually including the song War Pigs, Paranoid (also a Black Sabbath song), guitar riff from Crazy Train (Ozzy Osbourne) and Killing in the name of (Rage Against the Machine)) 4. Paint it Black (cover, Rolling Stones) The second video (I Shot the Sheriff) is always the highest viewed video ever from band's official youtube channel (15M views 8/20/24) We also included another video from fan angle regarding the I Shot the Sheriff video can be treated as the b-roll for the video.

I absolutely love it when Ren is in his feels! He don't care what's going on around him, what people think, what he looks like. You get the sense that the world fades away from his mind and its just him and the music vibing, as one, as it flows out of him! Please please please check out "Blind Eyed" both the original music video and the live M.C. sessions video! So yes not loads of versions of this, but loads more in this session. They started with this mash up, then segwayed into black Sabbath War pigs mash up, then did a Big Push original called Watch Out, then finished on Paint it Black mash up. All the busks were in Brighton a City on the English channel coastline. And yes I also wish I knew about them then, as a fellow Brit I wasn't to far away from Brighton I was up in Oxford at the time, but man I wish I'd seen them live.!!! Hey Abi,did you see the big Babymetal news? They announced a huge EU arena tour with Poppy and Bambiethug as supporting act's. More than that they said it would be with new music, which in all likelihood means a new album. I would expect that to drop on or around Fox Day April 1st which is tradionally BM's official holiday

What i love about this is its just them busking. As a rule when someone is busking there will be an old man with a dog, two people on a smoke break from work, and a teenage mum on the phone to her mate Kayleigh saying shes not gonna break up with her boyfriend because he didnt cheat with her cousin because it was just fingering. This was a party, it was a music festival, there were loads of people there and they were totally there for it.

I strongly recommend watching ‘Chalk Outlines’ busking version. It’s right at the end of their set, it’s emotional for him (and us). It’s just him and his guitar. No chinchilla I’m afraid.
