This is great. But I had a problem hope you can help! I use FCB1010 to control midi in ableton. I wanted to midi map fcb1010 to bias fx so that I could control the preset. Bias fx doesn’t receive the midi cc in audio track! But when I insert bias fx in midi track then it receives midi cc. It works perfectly outside the Ableton though. The audio setup is not available in bias fx within the ableton.

When i load up standalone bias FX i hear my guitar, but when i load it up through my ableton plugins theres no sound at all. any tips?

Hey mate, just downloaded Bias FX 2 for windows, and noticed there isnt a VST file when I finished downloading it and just the standalone version. Wondering if you or anyone else had a similar issue? I noticed for Mac you had the option to download the AU / VST for it but not windows

Try going into your ->options'-> preferences- and click Plugins, and click 'Use VST3 plug-in folder. Hope this helps.

Good video. I could not get the plugin to show in Ableton, but the standalone worked. I discovered that although my PC was 64 bit, Ableton Live 8 is a 32 bit program. I switched to Bias FX2 32 bit and it now the plugins show and work in Ableton and the standalone works too. Hope that can help someone.

Thanks for pointing this out. Its actually the Focusrite Scarlett Solo you get Ableton Live 10 lite with for free not Bias. Thats my mistake. Thanks for noticing.

So really the two big questions were left unanswered : 1. If you open bias separately from Ableton as you did in your example, how would you get the audio from bias to Ableton? 2. If you use bias inside Ableton as I do, which allows you to easily record bias audio inside Ableton, then according to my tests, NO, you cannot assign MIDI to snapshit buttons! This last point is the reason why I returned my bias effects 2! I find it a lot easier and more efficient to use ableton's built-in modulation effects which are fully midi-mappable and I actually more versatile and customizable. I do love bias amp2 though!

Thanks for this video. Super helpful. Is there any way to take a single audio track (guitar direct plug in), split it, and apply a tone to each of the split tracks? So, basically taking Track A, splitting to Track A1 and Track A2 and applying Tone 1 to Track A1 and Tone 2 to Track A2? Every time I apply edits to the Bias FX 2 tone, it applies it to both split tracks.

My problem is BIAS FX 2 is shown in the Plugins library already but I cannot open it, both my Able and BIAS are 32-bit. Can you suggest me something?

Make sure to load the proper files (x86) respectively for 32bit. For any other questions just ask.

Great video, thanks for posting. I have an issue though: when I save my Ableton Live Set/Project, it will override any settings I made to my setup in Bias, and set it all back to default. Like if I change a setting with the drive pedal in the chain and then save the Ableton Set, it will revert all my changes to previous settings.

Ive used the vst2 plugin custom folder and added the bias amp (64bit) folder exactly as you have shown but i am still not seeing bias amp in the plugin menu on the main screen. Have I missed something?

Theres alot of variables as to why but Ill try and help out. Make sure your loading the vstplugins folder "Program Folder" instead of (x86) if your running windows 10 respectively. Also be sure to click 'rescan' so it knows the new file pathways. If you have other problems troubleshooting let me know.

got it figured out haha i have another question though i am unable to go into the audio setting on bias 2 its not an option when i access it through ableton? are you accessing it on the standalone version?

@@unrulylobster86 Before you could, but they updated it now so whatever settings you have in your regular bias should link up to your ableton bias including saved tones.

Whatever audio settings you have set up for Bias FX outside of Ableton will transfer to Ableton, tones included.

Thanks very much for the video. A question: Can you record your sound from the Bias FX2 standalone version in Ableton without having to drag the Bias FX2 VST plugin into an Ableton track? Bringing the VST plugin into my tracks seems to be a lot for my computer. When I pull up bias FX standalone I can get the tone I like, but when I then try to record it into Ableton, when I play my take back, the tone that was recorded is just a raw guitar sound as if it's not even going through Bias FX. Any help is much appreciated!

I’m using the bias fix demo but when I go to bias fx settings to find audio. Audio isn’t an option? Do I need to purchase bias fx or am I doing something wrong on my part?

FinnAMP so I purchased bias fix and its still not showing the audio settings? I can hear my guitar but the tone is awful sounds nothing like when I use it as a stand-alone. I’m also using a ableton lite which is just a free version with out the license could this be it?

@@aaronholt442 Unfortunately you cant adjust the audio settings from Ableton. But if you own Bias FX you should be able to open it stand alone and adjust the audio settings. It sounds muddy because Im sure the bitrate and sample rate is too low. Try a higher number. I use 512 samples with 48kHz.

If your running windows 10 it should be 64 bit so you'd want to load the VST in PROGRAM FILES instead of x86. Also make sure to tick the "use vst plugin folder" under "plugins" and rescan if necessary. Let me know if you have more specific problems with this.
