I downloaded the Trial and gave it a go. Yes it does work (at least for all the settings I've tried so far in 1 hour) - I had to play around in the "Troubleshooting" section in settings to fix the buffer size though, otherwise some of the defaults like "Dancing in Room" (presumably trying to replicate Mayer...) were all crackly.

Eh buddy when u use stand alone it sound unbelievable but when I run it through my daw I lose tonof clarity and tone night and day any idea? I tweaked all the gain staging Al sampling correct?

Yeah same. It works fine in Standalone, but adding the Bias into the inserts adds the plug in, but doesn't recognise any inputs and plays nothing back live unless I have Standalone open at the same time.. Someone HELP!

Hi! Lovely vídeo and very easy to understand. Just a question... Is it possible to record the output sound into Cubase or another DAW using the standalone version or do I need to use the VST version? I've an old laptop and when I use 2 or 3 VST lines for three different guitar sounds I've computer problems.

Great Video, I'm having trouble with Bias Fx2 on Reaper, whenever I load Bias into reaoee , the sound starts to sound all static, which I can't hear my own guitar, is there a way to fix this?

Lower the input volume on your audio interface on the input which the guitar goes into and then increase the main volume output. I presume you have an audio interface, otherwise if you go directly into your pc soundcard it will always sound garbage. Some interfaces have a switch that changes the input from instrument to line so these have different input settings so select whichever works best. Also Bias fx itself has an input volume which you can turn up and down. Be aware that single coil guitars eg strats are noisier than humbucker guitars. You need to move away from your pc or laptop a bit. Finally use the noise reduction pedal and set that to mute. Don't turn the threshold all the way up otherwise it will choke your notes as they decay. If you are unsure about any of this just ask here and I'll try to respond. Hope that helped a bit.

Its wierd on my old windows 7 machine i used to be able to run the limited version, save make banks ect. only limitation was certain presets were blocked. now with my new machine windows 10 it goes into demo nag screen after just a few minutes. wtf happened? Granted i didnt purchase it, but its just strange.

Hi, with Bias fx 2 recording, do you do any stereo track rec {I`m in pro tools and doing it this way creates a mono type file on a stereo track} and then you cant drag another stereo file on to this track, confusing ? I do know that rec guitar on a mono track etc but this stereo track = a mono type file is ?? any info appreciated, thanks.

I tried opening Bias Amp in Reaper as a VST but for whatever reason, it wouldn't show up. I had downloaded it as a standalone application which I thought was the reason why I couldn't load it as a VST. Therefore, I uninstalled it from my laptop and re-installed it but unchecked the standalone box to see if it would open in Reaper. Did that and it still didn't work. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this problem? FYI, it's a Windows laptop so I download it and run it the same way you do.

how did you record the stand alone part? everytime I use it and record through obs it only recods my dry guitar signal and it's been a pain in the ass hooking it up with cubase please help!

THat's how it works. you Record it without effects and then put the plugin on the recorded music. You can't record you live with the bias sound on. It's added in after. It sucks.

I recorded the line out from my interface into a different computer. It is a pain, but it's the only way I could think of recording the Standalone. Someone else who knows more about Windows audio routing may be able to help....anyone?

Yes, it is. All the tonecloud presets, any presets you have created yourself and the out-of-the-box presets that come with BIAS FX are all available for use in both standalone and plugin mode.

My issue with the standalone version is when I am in Audio Settings the output channels are in both 1-2 so it uses my mic and my guitar at the same time, but the drop down menu doesn't allow me to choose between either 1 or 2

I managed to solve it at the end. Make sure you properly defined the directories of 32 and 64 bits. And make sure these are the same when the installation asks for them.

@@autocrow Hi I finally got it, make sure: 64 bits points to programfiles\VSTfiles and 32 bits points to programfiles(x86)\Commonfiles\VST and then make sure to set plug-ins options in Ableton as: Use VST2 plugin custom folder ON VST2 plug in folder must be programfiles\VSTfiles Use VST3 plugin system folder ON Use VST3 plugin custom folder OFF VST3 plugin custom folder programfiles(x86)\Commonfiles\VST This is how I made it, hope it works for you as it really worth the effort to make it happen.

It's been almost impossible for me to make it work in the pulgins at Ableton... It works in Stand-Alone but I have some more Plugins in a specific directory, so no matter if I choose that one, this software is not seen in Ableton... Thank God I choose the demo version

@@PaulDouglasMusician Hi Paul, took me some time but I've made it!! Most of Plugins suggests their own directories for 32 and 64, they key thing is to install them in common folders for 32 and 64 and then pointing to the same in the Plug-Ins directories in Ableton's options...

Wish I'd bought the demo version. I'd give up and try something else. Hope I can get it to work or get a refund. Not even sure what kind of file a plug in is. The Bias FX 2 folder contains one .dll file and that's it. The "plug ins" may not even be there.
