Sick video. I must do this. Quick question can you start the car just by holding down the clutch after you have entered accessory mode using the brake. Like if you was using the normal key access all I have to do his hold down the clutch to start the civic.

The key problem is a simple fix, when shifted into park, the system doesn't quiet sit properly. To fix it, jiggle the shifter in place without changing it from P and the key will release.

so..... you still have to take a "key" out your pocket, swipe it, wait for a beeps then start? This seems more annoying that using a key.

I wish they had an option for a 2009-2015 Honda Pilot, they only have an option for the first gen Honda Pilot.

I can get a 2005 Civic for dirt cheap but it's missing the keys. Would this kit be able to help me get around the missing key or would I need to get a new key made? Rather spend $120 on this kit over $3-500 at my local Honda dealership and tow fees.

well you would still need a key to lock/unlock it

Yo bro I have the same Setup up never had a problem with it until today I scanned the little blue thing I went to go push the button and it doesn’t want to start my car my dash comes on my starter is new and for some reason it doesn’t want to turn the car on do you know what it could be?, my car runs if I push it and put it in gear I got a 99 civic

So I lost the key to my civic and can’t find anybody to program and get me a new key because my car is 22 years old. Can I buy this kit to replace my entire ignition in order to use my car again without the original key?

I can’t seem to get my ignition switch back on. So I’m stuck with a floppy clam shell like you said. How did you get yours to stay on there without the push start button getting in the way?

If you used the black button like I have in this video it should clear the ignition cylinder once you remove the key tumbler, and drill out everything inside of it. It's just a hallowed out mount at that point. If you upgraded to one of the other buttons, then you may have to trim the ignition cylinder to clear the new button. I've got another video on my channel where I upgrade to the red push button, and you'll be able to see better how it gets trimmed.

If you were sick with it, you could install the fob activator pad in your centre console, that way when you sit in the chair as long as the keys in your right pocket it will activate it. But that’s not necessary. Swiping it quickly is easy enough. You could also install it under your cup holder which I’ve seen someone do so when they put their keys in there it activates. But yeah installing a push start is pointless regardless. It’s really just a cool novelty item & something to make an old car feel a bit more high tech

I recently installed this on my car and had the bouncy upper/lower steering wheel cover as you mentioned. So you stripped out all the internal parts of the key cylinder right? To be able to use as a bracket again so with it being stripped it cannot lock the steering wheel?

Correct, the steering wheel cannot lock once the cylinder is completely stripped out. It’s just a mounting piece for the clamshell at that point.

I just checked for you on their website & they don’t have one for the 2015 unfortunately. Only up to the 2007. Seems like Most of their products are focused on old models

I’ve got it linked in the description of the video. It’s from Jordan distributors. And the push button start has to have a RFID chip in order for it to be started. It’s included in the kit. You have to swipe the RFID “key” over the scanner in order to activate the push button start.

Kinda disappointed you cant leave the fob in your pocket and that it doesnt have a motor to lock the wheel

You can leave it if you want to but you will have to drill a hole for the push button somewhere else, that way you can keep the lock. And as far as keeping the key in your pocket. It only takes one second to scan once you’re in the car. You dont have to scan it when you are leaving because it automatically locks after like 30 seconds so no one can power it on. Its definitely better than nothing.

If you’re sick with it, you can install the fob receiver in the centre console that way it activates when you sit down as long as the fob is in your right pocket. But that would take some extra work. Easy enough to just swipe it before starting the car

The entire point of push to start is not having to dig in your pocket or bag to get your key out.... with this kit you still have to pull the fob out and scan it then start. Defeats the purpose.@@darme7o
