It's amazing to me how people say "You opened your legs, deal with the consequences". You really want children being brought into the world as consequences? You think it's safe for a baby to be possibly seen as a punishment? That's some fucked up logic.

CampY | CS:GO eSports Adoption? Oh that's rich. You think adoption is just a walk in the park huh? Do you know how many children are sitting in the adoption system right now? The ones whose chances of getting adopted are lower because they are sick, minorities or just simply too old? How about you advocate for them instead of trying to tell women to go through with unwanted pregnancies.

I was raped at 14 by my older step brother. I became pregnant. My mom refused to let me have an abortion. I knew in my heart that I wasn’t ready. I mean, I was 14. I didn’t want to bring a baby into this world if she/he wasn’t going to have absolutely everything they needed. I also know what being adopted is like. I was placed with my adoptive parents at about 6-7 weeks. I know it’s not like this for every adoptee, but I always felt alone. My older siblings knew who they were related to. I grew to resent my adoptive parents because they didn’t have the answers I so desperately needed. But I also resented my biological parents for giving me up. I always felt abandoned because of that. I didn’t want my baby to feel like that. So, I moved in with my dad, and he let me make the choice of terminating my pregnancy. Some days I regret it, but the majority of the time I know I made the best decision for me and my baby. I now have an amazing husband and 4 wonderful children.

fouroverseven abortion is a necessary medical procedure. And, I don't think the lives of pregnant people should be forfeit the moment a fetus enters into the picture. All babies should be wanted and all people should be able to chose when they are ready to start a family.
@fouroverseven7799
@fouroverseven7799 9 жыл бұрын
missatralissa Abortion is rarely if ever "necessary." And referring to it simply as a medical procedure is an attempt at masking the ugly reality that abortion is the deliberate destruction of a human being. No one is saying that a fetus' life somehow trumps his mother's. We're saying his or her right to life is as inherent as their mother's. "All babies should be wanted..." There are lots of people who are not "wanted" in this world, that doesn't give you the right to kill them.
@missatralissa
@missatralissa 9 жыл бұрын
fouroverseven I know for a fact that abortion is necessary. I wouldn't be where I am today if I had not had access to a safe and legal abortion. And I'm sorry, but the four week old embryo did not same the same rights to life as myself. I made a hard choice, and I have no regrets about it. I'm alive and well, and should I decide to have children in the future they will be wanted and planed for.
@fouroverseven7799

missatralissa Was your pregnancy life-threatening? Why wouldn't you be here if you hadn't access to abortion? Look, I wouldn't even call an abortion to save the life of the mother an abortion. I'm sure every effort is made to save the life of her unborn child. Life-saving abortions account for fewer than one percent of nearly one million abortions performed in the U.S. annually. Most women who have abortions simply don't want their child.

A child should never be the consequence of, let alone a punishment for someone's mistake. A child should be born out of love, not out of necessity, not unwanted by accident and it should be born into a family who can afford to have a child in the first place, you should be able to afford the basic necessities - a family who is mature enough to care for the child and love it the way it deserves to be loved and cared for. Everything less than that.. no child deserves that - that's why I'm pro choice. Not only because it's the woman, the mother, who has to go through all the suffering, no, it could in the end also be the child who'll have a troublesome life as a consequence and feel like an unwanted burden to the family. The woman at the end said that she'd rather have that child given up for adoption - but so many children who were given away live under terrible conditions, many of them fall into the depths of drug addiction and prostitution. By then, they are alive, they live through all the pain and troubles, and they can barely fight them - and all that can be prevented.

Mina Fed The Unicorns ♥ I agree.. A friend of mine was conceived due to her mother being raped, and she has major psycological issues thanks to that information (she kept asking who her father was), she has been in and out of suicide-centers since she was 12.. And they had problems affording food and stuff since my friends mom only was 17 when she was raped and her family threw her out the day she turned 18 (6-7 months pregnant i think).. If her parents had just believed her about being raped and allowed her to go through with the abortion when she noticed that she was pregnant, like 4 weeks after the rape this wouldn't have happened.. >.

Frostlilja Jarlsten Oh god, that sounds terrible.. I really wish her the best of luck and that she'll be alright. I was also a .. surprise-child, let's put it that way. My mom was dating a guy for 1-2 years, but he was never ready for anything serious because he was still studying and unable to feed a family. My mom was also a professional ballet dancer - her pregnancy not only scared my biological father away, it also ruined her carreer and she had nothing else as a back up, i.e. she had to rely on the help of her mother, my grandma, until just a few years ago. She never made me feel like a burden, she loves me like mad, just like I love her, but sometimes I feel like her life would be a lot different and a lot better if I didn't come so unexpectad, but I was planned and maybe.. born a few years later. Obviously, that's not even close to your story, but even the smallest things sum up to a serious issue at some point.

I understand. I've had similar feelings. I made that choice because I thought about the welfare of the child before my own. If there was any possible way that my child would have had a decent life, from where I was, what my situation was, I believe it was the right choice. I don't wish for my children to suffer and having the abortion was my attempt to prevent my child's suffering. We don't know if a fetus in the first trimester feels anything, but I know that a new born child feels something and if I can't provide my child food what is the point. Also remember most pregnancies happen because their birth control failed.

While I'm sure you're glad to be alive, your mother could not have guaranteed the future you have now. She took a gamble and luckily one the prize. I just hope people understand that if everybody faced a 99% mortality rate, there wouldn't be so many of them to tell the story,

Adoption is not simple, at least a huge number of children are likely to be never adopted, and therefore when they turn 18 (or 21 depending on the country) and they have to leave orphanages they become homeless as they have no money to live
@fouroverseven7799
@fouroverseven7799 9 жыл бұрын
giulia marzi Well, I know alt least in the U.S. there are about 400,000 children in foster care, of which 100,000 eligible for adoption. These kids will spend anywhere between one and three years in the system before finding permanent adoptive parents or aging out of the program. And that being said, almost all newborns are adopted quickly. Really, there's no reason to abort your baby if you think he or she is going to be unwanted or homeless.

+Harold I don't think I need to explain it your way. Rights is not a proper area for scientific investigation. Science is a source of facts regarding the natural world, but the question of rights is the domain of law. In regard to a woman seeking to terminate a pregnancy, there is the question of whether a fetus has a right to live or if a woman has the right to autonomy over her body. The Courts have decided, and the majority of people accept, that a woman has the right to bodily autonomy and a fetus has no right to life. That is pretty clear.

I will be taking into account women's health and their reproductive issues. I'll be facing women who can barely support themselves, and others who have been trying to have children for years. I don't know why your ignorant ass had to bring politics into this situation. Abortion isn't a matter of politics, it's a matter of understanding. If you love your precious guns so much, how about we make getting a gun like getting an abortion. Make the buyer drive alone, four hours to some town in the middle of nowhere, make there be a 48 hour waiting period, and when you enter into the gun shop, let there be dozens of people intimidatingly standing there with signs of their family members who were killed on accident or on purpose with a gun. I don't believe it's "killing a life" because if abortion was 'murder', would masturbation be genocide? Millions of sperm cells die whenever a man masturbates, so by that logic masturbation should be considered murder as well. But of course it's not because men are seen as people and women are not. The whole 'abortion is murder' argument is the result of sexist and misogynist religious practices that basically treat women like objects and not people, and see them as nothing more than baby machines.

Chiclete Violeta Look, I'm not religious. You don't need religion to see abortion for the human-rights tragedy it is. "Clinging to a rhetoric about abortion in which there is no life and no death, we entangle our beliefs in a series of self-delusions, fibs and evasions. And we risk becoming precisely what our critics charge us with being: callous, selfish and casually destructive men and women who share a cheapened view of human life...we need to contextualize the fight to defend abortion rights within a moral framework that admits that the death of a fetus is a real death." -Naomi Wolf, feminist author

Glitched Link The reason that today's young people don't all have their eyes open the way my generation did is because they have never lived in a time when women that they loved were dying from illegal abortions. They've never had to face the terror of (themselves or a friend/family member/ or loved one) meeting a stranger in some dirty building who may leave them butchered and bleeding to death on a table somewhere, with no way to call for help (we didn't have cell phones back then). If they had to live as women once did, back when we had no rights and no say over our own bodies, then they would understand how we came to stand before the Supreme Court in the early 70's, demanding the right to bodily autonomy and access safe, legal abortion....because making it illegal doesn't stop it, it just makes it dangerous.

Most of the pro-lifers who say "put them up for adoption" are no where to be seen when the child needs to be adopted. Not simple. Adoption, and then what? They go into the system? A family adopts them but they spend their whole life wondering why their parents never kept them. Abandoning a child at birth is the same thing as getting it aborted.

***** Legally, that is not how it works. You're implying that someone else should have a say over someone else's body, and that's not how the law works. Each person living has a right to bodily autonomy. Your body, your choices for that body. No one else has a say. That's not just with pregnancy, either, that's in all matters. Women are equal to men. We are able to choose for our bodies, just as men can choose for theirs in all matters. As a married woman, I would choose to talk to my husband about any surgery I was having, and we've had those conversations because I've had several operations since we got older. I value his opinion so much that I gave him the legal right to make medical decisions for me in the event that I am incapacitated and cannot make them for myself. I trust him enough to make the choices he knows I would want and vice versa - we both have living wills and medical power of attorney. However, he cannot choose for me if I am able to speak for myself, just as I cannot choose for him if he can speak for himself. We're way past having children now, but when we were young and still having them, while I always valued his opinions, legally, my choices while pregnant were mine alone, as it must be for all people.
@pagangrandma9218
@pagangrandma9218 9 жыл бұрын
I was fortunate enough to be a mother to seven children in my life, and then, there were two occasions, separated by many years, where I was forced to make the difficult decision not to continue a pregnancy. The circumstances were very different, both were heart-breaking to me, but I know I make the right choice...not just for me, but for the children I already had. If I had it all to do over again, now that I am nearer the end of my life than the beginning, I would still make those same choices in those situations. I don't really care if it "makes you sick" as it wasn't your decision. It was mine. I'm not ashamed in the least, as I know I did the right thing both times under those circumstances. Each pregnancy is different, and each time you are pregnant, you have to deal with the reality of what IS happening, and not what you WISH was happening. My husband and I have had lots of decisions to face in this life that were as hard as, if not worse, than those terminations. We buried our oldest daughter when she was 9. That was much worse. We had to choose to take my twin sister off life support. That was much, much worse. Real life isn't fair. It's often full of situations which are painful, but which you have to face and deal with. Sometimes, the choices in front of you are all painful, and nearly impossible. You'll learn this by the time you are my age if you are lucky enough to get old.

Most pro-life people think that the woman doesn’t think about the child when she aborts a fetus. But just try and imagine what she’s feeling, why she’s feeling it. Her mind and heart are divided. Abortion is not an easy choice. It takes many sleepless nights and days to make. Psychologically, it’s the mother who suffers the most. And if abortion laws are enforced, you do realize that the kid might be born into an environment where she or he gets the feeling that they’re born out of accident and not wanted. It’s something a child should never face. It’s in the best interest of the child and the mother to give the decision to the mother when she’s pregnant. In this way, neither of them will suffer and hopefully, the child will be reborn into a place where he or she is wanted. NOTE: If an abortion law does come into effect, then what guarantee is there that people will stop doing it? (They could travel to other countries and have an abortion and come back pretending they’ve never been pregnant or say that they had an accident.) So it’s best to do it legally and safely in the country they live in

The adoption and life part is hard on the baby. Not everyone’s lives are all rosy. Especially of adopted children. Several hundred thousands on children are put up at abusive and neglectful homes while others are still waiting to be adopted. It’s the minority of them who actually get a good life.

"Several hundred thousands on children are put up at abusive and neglectful homes" Who is to blame? Pro-life people? Or irresponsible people making babies when they can barely get by. I get it, it's emotionally painful and what not, especially when you don't have the resources to raise a child. But it's really disingenuous to argue that you care about babies and child abuse and then suggest they'd be better off dead in the same sentence. How about holding people accountable for the "mess" they create for themselves? No matter how much you spin around the subject, making babies is a CHOICE, and so is killing. Abortion should never be a right exactly because it takes away the right of innocent beings for convenience and satisfaction of those who are 100% responsible in most cases.

Mrudul “Making babies is a CHOICE” Not all contraceptives are 100% safe. Some even badly unbalance hormone systems. And what if it’s a rape child? Would you say that it’s a choice? I agree that if you were irresponsible and had casual sex and didn’t think of using contraceptives, then it’s the fault of the parents, no denying that. But the thing is rape babies and babies born out of abuse. A woman can’t be forced to carry her rapist’s baby. In those kind of situations I’d want a choice for them. And recently my neighbor had to have an abortion because she had been diagnosed with AIDS. She cried a lot. She wanted to have her baby. But there were high chances of both dying. It was an extremely difficult decision that she had to make. At the end of the day, everyone has a different opinion and this is a proof of that. I respect your opinion on this matter and I accept it. I understand why you chose to think what you think and accept some of your points. But you need to understand other’s perspectives at the same time and accept their opinion even if you don’t like it.

@lia - So you have identified yourself as "pro-murder"...what other SS Nazi beliefs do you hold? I suppose it is your duty to kill paraplegics and people in comas...as a start...or are there special dispensations for those non-functioning living beings? Where is your logic? Using your ill-informed idea is a sign of ignorance and blindness. Zygotes are alive and any biologist can inform you that their function is to grow and divide cells and grow, etc. in order to pass on their genes in the future. What makes any of us special or different? Biologists would tell you that your primary function is to pass on your genes as well. Anything else is a pleasant fiction created by our collective subjective reality. For example, organizations, jobs, money, and societies are human inventions - ideas accepted in order to create a "stable social order." They are unknown to humans until they are cultured through propaganda and/or punishment. Educate yourself as to what is real and what is your non-genetic programming. Then you have a chance at living a humane life...well, if your brain still can learn and think freely.

There are some extremely hypocritical people out there. I'd prefer people to come up with non-hypocritical responses based on scientific reality, not on pleasant fictions and convenience. If you don't understand my comments, that's society's loss. "Other people's business", or a "Why do YOU care so much?" (as if that was stated in my comments and I'm being nosey!) do not hold water as logical reasons to support arbitrary murder. Isn't that what you are attempting? Biologists. Talk to some about when life starts (fusion of gametes leads to a living zygote). That is empirical evidence, independent of a human belief system. People who redefine what the word murder includes have to have good reasons. Or not, according to the individual. Bring on the Hunger Games...or death camps. You used the word "baby"...so you imply it is OK to kill a baby. That just highlights the whole issue. Inert proteins, gametes, zygote, fetus, baby, where is the line? There is a clear line between alive and not alive. Unless you believe the plethora of myths created by other humans and not by nature. Why do you care enough to post a comment? What business is of yours to interrogate me? See! We can easily end a conversation via a subjective belief in "human rights" (in this case privacy and ownership), the argument that ironically deprives human rights from one group and privileges another. Fact 1: "Human rights" were invented by humans, not nature. They are fictional, but a lot of people choose to act as if they exist. Fact 2: The creation of life exists independently from what happens in peoples' emotion, or thoughts. Fact 3: Humans have defined killing a living human as murder, itself defined as illegal. Fact 4: Laws are made only by humans. Finally, fact 5: Humans live by laws so that societies can exist and large numbers of humans can live in a cooperative and safe manner. Ask yourself how and why do humans believe in any human-made fictions that guide their lives. It only seems to have led to the species' autodestruction. The agricultural revolution and all that followed is simultaneously splendid and horrid for the whole planet.

why i’m pro choice: yes, i have heard stories of women whose children motivate them. but imagine being a child born into a life of poverty, crime, addiction, homelessness, or many more struggles that people face on a daily basis. in my opinion, it is much worse for an infant to grow up severely malnourished, cold, neglected, and/or abused, or floating through the foster care/adoption system. newborns do not have the strength to live in these conditions. if the mother knows that she will not be able to offer a good (keep in mind, the definition of ‘good’ is different for everyone - i am not just implying wealth here) life to her child, then it is entirely her choice to abort the pregnancy. people also forget about victims of sexual assault. if a woman is raped and impregnated, that child could be a constant reminder of the trauma and suffering she had to go through. and nearly every time a woman is impregnated by rape, she is nowhere near if the age where she feels ready to raise a child.

I've been seeing that argument a lot. Just know that's a illogical way of thinking. Everyone has good and bad experiences in their life. Why do rich people have such a high suicide rate? Especially when they don't have to worry about the horrors you mention like poverty and addiction. You say it has nothing to do with wealth but I know that's what it comes down to. Also why do you mention rape in such a misleading way? Rape AND INCEST (both) make up only 1.5% of abortions. Why don't you or any pro abortion people mention that nuance? Seems like you're more interested in feelings over facts. Also excluding the misleading tone of your second paragraph you forgot only 5% of rape victims get pregnant (women of reproductive age) Again you ignore facts and try to mislead and paint with a broader brush. Look these propaganda networks aren't interested in telling you the truth they just want to abort as many as possible. So they can make money. Ever wonder why abortions have been going down overall but Planned Parenthood's number of abortions are going up they're trying to dominate this huge market. Do you not know how the evil work? They eat their own and start to turn on each other. Most pro life people are too scared to blame the women but I do without them going to the clinic the abortion won't happen. These soft belly pro lifers are to scared too say the truth so they get picked on and bullied by the sluts. They always say the same thing you're judging right? Alayna Brown not true! I'm adopted so is my older sister. My pastor at church just got done adopting his 3&4 children. They have officially adopted 4 kids now. Another lady at my church has adopted two kids and had some of their own. My oldest sister has adopted a little boy, she's also a single mother who has three kids now. A lot of people want to adopt, including myself and all of my siblings (there are five of us). And I wasn't adopted after birth, I was just around 10 years old and my life has been honesty quite great.

Just because you personally wouldn't do it yourself doesn't mean others shouldn't be able to There's no reason you should be forced to put your body through pregnancy and birth when you dont want it Its an extremely hard decision that takes a lot of thought to make Even though some of your babies are absolute gifts other women just KNOW they do not want a baby Saying oh just give it up after birth isn't right because you still put your body through all of it and keep the scars And there's already so many children sitting without homes I wouldn't abort my baby because I all I want is to be a mother but others are not meant to be mothers they could be a carrier for a disease or something it shouldn't be judged unless they wait a stupid amount of time to decide to go through with it It honestly is your decision as its mother and as the owner of your body most babies that are aborted dont even resemble a human we always forget that.. One mistake shouldn't ruin your whole life and yes babies can ruin lives even though they are precious they can. Fetuses that dont even resemble newborns are not the same as the babies you give birth to :/

I hope one day those younger teenagers will realize that sometimes abortion is the best option for some people. A painful option, yes, but sometimes necessary. People need to stop prioritizing an unconscious, unborn, insentient fetus over a living human being. You can be on birth control, condoms, use plan b and still get pregnant. It's not always because of carelessness, because those things don't work 100%. Someone may also have their life in danger because of a pregnancy or may be unfit to care for a child (money, physical health, mental health, etc). Abortion should always be a choice and pro-lifers are ignorant to some of the situations people go through. No one's making you get an abortion. No one looks forward to getting an abortion. Pro-choice is the only logical answer.

one thing i feel is not spoken for often about abortion is the pain the mother goes through. people are so quick to judge women who have had or are having an abortion -- saying they are murderers, and careless, horrible people. but do you know what women go through having abortions? there is so much emotional and physical pain involved. it isn't easy from the start and other peoples' negative and hurtful opinions don't make abortion any bearable for a woman who has had or is having an abortion. and not to mention -- if a woman does have an abortion, it isn't any of your business anyway.

Why shouldnt ANY reason be a legitimate reason to get an abortion? Nobody gets an abortion because it is fun. Whether that is because they have been sexually abused, they will not be able to support the child, they are too busy with their careers etc. Who are we to judge their reasons for an abortion? And to every one who is plain against abortion: NOBODY is saying you should get one, nobody is forcing you to abort your future child so don't limit another person's choices and HUMAN RIGHTS either.

Some were raped, might have health problems because of the fetus, and so forth. I do not know the full story so who am I to judge? I'm sure it's a tough decision for women to make. I will say ask this. Why is it that usually people who want to make abortion illegal are the same ones who think the government should not provide them any assistance? This also means number of abortions would drop. This is also one of the reason you should stand with Planned Parenthood whether you are Pro Life or Pro Choice!

+9432515 I think that if men were able to get pregnant, they'd see it from a whole different perspective. This whole "keep your leg closed" argument doesn't work. Just about EVERYONE has sex for the reason they want to feel pleasure. That's why we have birth control, condoms, and so on. However, if I've learned anything, it's that prohibiting something only makes matter worst. Women will have them anyways but they might do it through unsafe procedures. I don't agree with abortion on a personal level but I think that it's still a woman's choice to make. Maybe if more boys would man up and take care of their kid when they get their girlfriend pregnant then less abortion would happen! These mothers do not want their kids to live a terrible life!

TheHRchannel " I think that if men were able to get pregnant, they'd see it from a whole different perspective" probably, I do agree, but that's beside the point. if it's a baby in there why does it matter who suffers the most carrying him/her? it doesn't. that is a perspective literally one-sided and completely selfish, obviously. just because the woman holds the reigns doesn't give her the rights to another life she had part in creating. "This whole "keep your leg closed" argument doesn't work. " I don't thinks it's about that at all...it's about fessing up to being an adult. Have all the sex you want, but understand there is a definite risk you may get preg. no one has to tie things up... "...if I've learned anything,it's that prohibiting something only makes matter worst. Women will have them anyways but they might do it through unsafe procedures. " it's not like buying cigarettes under aged...this is terminating a human being. if this causes individuals to seek out alternate means...what are those numbers? they aren't high. they wont use coat hangers...that's ridiculous. maybe some will go out of the country or have then in underground...the procedures mostly pill form. it is still going to save lives. "Maybe if more boys would man up and take care of their kid when they get their girlfriend pregnant then less abortion would happen! These mothers do not want their kids to live a terrible life!" yes...I do agree. there are many, many single mom's that make it though. there is tons of help for people in that situation too. this is the USA...it sucks to raise a child alone, I know, but that's not any good reason and def. no right to kill a child. "These mothers do not want their kids to live a terrible life!"" extremely lame excuse, but people given that idea that 'they have an authority with their own bodies' take and will actually use this excuse. we have it soo good here in the states. people in other nations would kill to be here.

It upsets me that these women against abortion didn't bring up the possibility that some women, who get abortions, were raped and whether the child would have suitable living conditions after they are born. Even if the mother doesn't want the child, it would be extremely hard to give the child up for adoption after they are a tangible person, not just something in your body. It is not as simple a subject as it seems.

Same, but, i'm pro choice My mom got pregnant with me when she was 19. It was not a rape. She was being completely careless and didn't use contraception. I am a mistake. According to her, my dad's side of the family wanted to get an abortion (my dad was only 18) but my mom didn't want to. She suffered an awful pregnancy with next to no support, and giving birth to me practically ruined her life. She has very little money to support me and my half sister (also a mistake) and she never finished college. Now she abuses my mentally and emotionally. She calls me horrible names, cusses me out every 2 minutes about dumb stuff, and tells me she doesn't want me around her. I feel like she hates me. Honestly she should have just aborted me. It wasn't worth it.

I hate the argument she should have the child & put it up for adoption. Some people cannot be pregnant, being sick, missing work, & birth is a lot for someone that didn't want the child. Yes the child would get a chance but imagine the mental health of the mother. Carrying a baby you didn't want & knowing a child she didn't want is out there in the world Also the ignorance of women using it as birth control is so frustrating.

When told that as of now, I could only get pregnant from rape, they told me that "if I let myself get raped" I should take responsibility. Yep. I deserve to die for getting raped. So what you're saying is, if you get pregnant and don't want the kid because it's too much for you, just kill the baby who can't speak for themselves. Sure, great idea. I have a friend who has survived an abortion and she loves life, she's such a cheerful girl and doesn't blame her mom at all, but she's really grateful she survived. There's other abortion survivers, but sometimes we just have to take responsibilities we don't want to take. But I do agree abortion is fine in the case that the mother has a mental disorder, in risk of dying, or if they can't provide for it. I'm planning to adopt, I would love to adopt every kid I could but I can't, but there is other people who want to adopt It's funny how people who don't want kids, end up pregnant and just kill it, while the people who want kids so badly but just can't have any

Abortion is a choice and a right. For a lack of a better word, it is a necessary evil. It's a difficult decision to make and is never taken lightly. No one else is living your life and no one else will be helping you pay your bills.

fouroverseven Anyone with a conscience would be up in knots about making a choice such as that. It's a choice. It's knowing that you had sex, unintentionally got pregnant and now you know damn well that you are not capable if caring for a child. Choosing abortion is the lesser of 2 evils. Unless you are willing to support every unplanned baby you can not lay claim to someone else's uterus. My body, my choice.
@fouroverseven7799
@fouroverseven7799 9 жыл бұрын
Blair Mulzac No one would force a mother or father to raise a child they're not prepared to. They could simply give that child to someone who is able through adoption. I don't know how you could ever call killing an innocent human being a "lesser evil." There are plenty of people out there willing to adopt supposedly "unwanted" newborns, so there's no reason to abortion for that reason. "My body, my choice." What about the unborn's right to their body, specifically the right not to be dismembered?

fouroverseven Adoption is easy to say and much harder to do. If so many people were able to adopt children within this country, why do they go to other continents to adopt? There are so many children that are in the foster care system that are being shuffled from place to place and never find a home and the trauma that they go through while being stuck in the system.Not once did you say that you were willing to support someone else's unplanned baby.

Y’all...It is a choice. It’s like, you cannot force someone to get a tattoo they don’t want. If a woman is RAPED and they fall pregnant, what the hell would you do? Especially if you’re underage, or you cannot afford it or it is a danger to yourself, and could seriously hurt or even kill you. Condoms or contraception isn’t always affective. For anything, not even this, everything is a choice, everyone makes their own choices. How they dress, talk, what they’re going to eat. If someone didn’t like peanut butter, would you force them to eat it? No. They don’t like peanut butter and that’s their choice. Also, if you fall pregnant and are in an abusive relationship and can’t leave, you cannot let a baby into that world. That’s extremely dangerous for her and the baby. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but sometimes, in the wrong environment, you just can’t deliver a baby and make sure either you or the baby is safe.
