I don't understand why so many people are upset over her adopting a dog and training it to help with her mental health issues. It's just as valid of an issue as physical health. Besides, it's her dog. It's not like she's taking away a valued service animal that's gone through extensive training. She's training him herself so that he can help better her life. What's wrong with that ?
@legnakoorbloh39707 жыл бұрын

Legna Koorbloh Is she not allowed to be frustrated when people don't keep to themselves? In most of the videos she starts out polite and then gets less patient with people. But you can't be sickly sweet all the time, explain her entire life story and why people can't interact with her dog every single time someone acts inappropriately. . . She's curt but polite. The only thing I think regular people lack is basic manners. I mean, who's ever heard of someone just walking up to a dog and not addressing the owner first? I was taught that at a young age!
@sommermcdaniel97237 жыл бұрын
a l Ok. So she does these youtube videos to spread awareness about service dogs and stuff and you protest her setting up a camera to catch him working on film? Also she is a grown woman and this is her life. I don't think she thinks or her husband thinks, that he needs to baby sit her every time she has an episode or every second of every episode. He doesn't always go out with her anyway. And I don't think that "always" is accurate because as I understand it, it's only when she's coming out of her fainting spells that she becomes aware of what's going on around her. And since it usually takes people a while to get concerned or nosy, I think its fair that she might realize some of whats going on. I really think everyone is reading too much into how she operates. You can not like how a person handles situations, but that doesn't mean her health problems are false. . .

POTS is a legitimate syndrome and it is BRUTAL to live with. People will always have something negative to say, but your symptoms are legitimate! I've had doctors tell me "oh you just have anxiety, what's wrong?!" "oh what's wrong with you, you look so good!". POTS basically feels like you have fasted for 24 hours, donated blood, are standing in a 100 degree room all while standing perfectly still. I personally have been diagnosed by the Mayo Clinic and had to go through a lot of crap while dealing with this invisible illness. I hope you get to a good place with your symptoms and get some relief soon! :)

rxactly, 3xactly my thought, her attitude in public is ignorant and embarsses the families, children, hw would they know? She should carry cards on her in public, or notes on them educating the families on why nt to come up to the dog, which js just a natural reaction for a child to do. she should educate rather than chastize, and ill tell you if any dhick said to me i better teach my child, infront of my child like they do nkt exist and are not listeninf, not to come up to her dog, i sure wouldnt be saying have a great day and walking away, be happy you can walk. educate in public, do not try to embarrass perfectly jnnocent people especially children. that walmart video, where your shorts were really short, and you were mad at everyone horrified me!

But you could explain it more gently to people when they do the mistake of petting him, because they don’t know your situation and they don’t do it on purpose 😊
@cheyannestark34236 жыл бұрын
Anna Monda I've seen a few service dogs in public and I'm a dog lover too. Something you could try if you really want to possibly pet the dog is just calmly approach and compliment the animal to the owner. The owner will generally say thank you and tell you a little about the dog. I personally like to ask the age and the breed. Then you can ask if you may pet them. However, if the dog has a vest with big words that say working, I wouldn't approach. It's best to ignore the animal and only address the owner pretending the animal isn't there. It's respectful and it raises your chances to get to pet them. I've gotten to give treats too. You may have already known this but if anyone else asks or if this helps, you can pass the info on :) Have a great day!

I have POTS too. I was just diagnosed. I also found out I had an SVT 2 years ago. My resting heart rate would be 100 or over and then just doing simple tasks like taking a shower or putting the dogs out it would go to 160 to 190+. I had an ablation in October of 2018. It helped tremendously. My resting heart rate is in the 60’s yo 70’s now. My heart rate still gets high some times but that’s due to the POTS. I still faint sometimes but not very often. I also have hypothyroidism and PCOS which makes me insulin resistant. I also get anemic as well. My cortisol is usually high as well I did testing for Cushing’s but came back negative. I suffer with extreme anxiety but have never been diagnosed with PTSD. I have a scary past. Anyway, I’m so glad you have Max. I love your videos. You are an inspiration. My bp is always low, and I get dizzy upon standing, so they took my BP laying, sitting and standing. How's your blood pressure? Have you been tested for autoimmune issues? Just because you can not see her illness does not make it imaginary but it sure shows what kind of person you are.

Most of her symptoms seem to trigger eachother though, ofcourse you're going to be hypo is you can't eat enough, and not eating enough most likely also means she isn't getting enough iron intake, thus the iron deficiency and fainting. @@TheNailandtheNarrative when she’s taken her blood pressure and blood sugar in front of the camera they are perfectly normal; never low. She also considered 90 low for her blood sugar which would never be considered low for someone her age who isn’t diabetic. She’s said she has high and low blood sugar and shown some readings on her meter but when she’s actually performing the reading in front of the camera it’s never been below 80 or above 100. Don’t know who she’s trying to fool with those high & low blood sugar readings but if you’re diabetic you know they make a range of calibration fluids (low to high) to verify your meter. She definitely has PoTS, it’s kinda hard to fake tachycardia but that wouldn’t cause you experience syncope especially since her blood pressure is never low when she takes readings. It’s very disturbing and disgusting because 99.9% of her followers have no idea what PoTS actually entails and she can totally fool these people.

She’s assertive and demanding. Why is she assertive and demanding? Because she has a variety of health conditions and needs to ensure that people behave properly around her and she can be treated in the correct manner to allow her to live as normally as possible and deal with her health conditions in the healthiest way possible. Part of this attitude is probably a consequence of people not listening, and doing what they erroneously thought was the right thing but was precisely what she asked them not to do. I have anxiety but I've gotten pretty good at hiding it, due to embarrassment, so not many people believe me. I do DPT but I had no idea it was an actual thing. When I start to panic I ask one of my sister or my boyfriend for a tight hug, and if no one is around my cat actually lays on me or pushes her head into my chest. That is not something I've trained her to do but it helps a lot. I have many people tell me that my cat is just a pet. I need her. She not only assist with my panic attacks but my depression and PTSD, as well. She forces me to pet her, meows at me, tries to play, and even makes me follow her to her food and water bowls, even if they're completely full, to get my mind off of whatever is going on. These are not things over trained her to do. Even if I had tried shes stubborn and wouldn't listen. I have her registered as an emotional support animal so she can't forcibly be taken from me. She is by far the most important thing to me and I dont know where I would be without her.

I'm really sorry but all of your issues have one main source - your mental attitude. I can see it in the way that you treat people, and the way that you talk about all of these "symptoms" that seem pretty normal to me. I have had a lot of these same issues and I'm perfectly fine. You are "trying" so hard to be sick, being sick isn't a goal. You need to work on your mind first and foremost, if you really want help with these "problems". The way that you yell at people for looking at your dog makes no sense, considering that you don't even have life threatening issues like you are pretending. I have had anxiety attacks and passed out, but I do not consider them life threatening, at least not to the extent that you are running around yelling at people for distracting your dog. If you really want to help yourself, instead of putting so much energy into these videos, maybe try meditating, learn to let the little things go, and stop focusing so much on your problems and what is going wrong in your life.

I don't think she does it on purpose but I agree. I think it stems from her trauma in childhood, if you are a victim of something it's so easy to feel like a victim for the rest of your life. I think she needs to spend her money mainly on therapy to talk through her issues. I have trauma based problems and mental health problems and I get incredibly anxious that I'm physically ill, even though I've had lots of tests and I'm all good. I hope she heals :)

I went through the same traumatic experience like you went through in your past, tried everything but none did help untill somebody offered me EMDR sessions. If you look it up how it works my first thought was "yeah right, like that is going to help" but i gave it a try anyway. I can now fully advice EMDR to anyone who suffers from PTSD to try EMDR. There's a small group where EMDR will not help but for most people it does do miracles. Look it up for an EMDR specialist in your area, but make sure the person is licensed. It did miracles for me and it only takes a small ammount of energy and input for it to work. After a few weeks already you will notice that a change is happening. Give it a try, it can only make your life better, it for sure will not make it worse. If you want a more detailed experience about EMDR works and how things will go in the weeks to follow and what it did do to me than just shoot me a PM and i'll be glad to explain it.

Do they have you on any blood pressure meds to slow your heart down because being that your heart is a muscle it can enlarge from the tachycardia causing more issues right?

Wow! Our medical issues are soooo similar! But mine was military sexual trauma that brought my PTSD on. Keep fighting the good fight 💜

i took a tilt table test for pots after 15 min of standing i developed hot flashes, flushing,rapid heart rate,and full body shaking, iy was so bad i had to get a saline iv with zofran ( anti nausea) and lorazapam (for muscle relaxant)... today mast cell disease was acting up, resulting in a resting heart rate of 160. its frustrating when ur body malfunctions,dont expect doctors to cure you, just do the best u can and educate yourself!

When you go out to places with max do you bring some type of backpack that has certain things in it for when you faint like water, food or things like that for after you come out of a black out? Just wondering. Second question if you are out with friends or family do they check up on you in a type of way like making sure you are still breathing/ your heart is still beating?

Hello there my sister has hyperglycemia and high anxiety that included panic attacks also passing out, many of your symptoms she has gone through because doctors couldn't at first pinpoint the exact cause. It took some years before her hyperglycemia was found to be the cause. She has to eat nearly every two hours and the food she eats has to be high in protein. Over the years she has found that keeping a lunch pale of boiled eggs and nuts are the best to hold her through. Having candy handy to suck on at all times is a great way to raise your blood sugar. Lots of protein like chicken that is going to stay with you longer. A lot of your symptoms can be reduced with diet. Get a little lunch pale to strap around your chest and always have boiled eggs some nuts and sugar candies. Definitely, research other suggested food that is not processed. My sister would feel sick after eating certain foods. She is always snacking throughout the day. I really hope this helps a little and if you ever need exact food list of what she eats I can get that for you if you need. Stay strong you got this!!

-.- syncope does not mean you just faint. Syncope means your heart flutters or beats irregularly. It can cause fainting but you do not have to faint to have it. My sister has it. And how they find out you have it, is by attaching sencers to you and monitoring your heart.
@jonlamontagne6 жыл бұрын
Do you have a tiny home? Other than that question nothing is my business nor is it your obligation or need to tell anybody. Thank you for bringing more awareness to service dogs and the fact they are on the job. Also as a person with MS I hope you have been checked for MS, Lyme, and Lupus to name a few things. I have very similar issues just without the fainting.

I can relate to the stomach problems, migraines, and exhaustion. My doctor has no idea what is wrong, and my anxiety causes me to not want to go and get a specialist analysis. Max is adorable btw.

Ugh. I completely understand your frustration with just standing there and everything going haywire for you. I have supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) which my cardiologist described as having an extra little bit of tissue on the heart which interrupts the pulsing signals and my heart rate skyrockets before getting stuck at that rate. The 10 minute walking stress test made my heart rate stick at 207 BPM for 45 minutes or so. I was wondering how you actually started training Max to recognize and alert you to your fainting. I've been searching your videos trying to find that specific part but haven't had any luck. If you have made one would you mind telling me the name of the video so I can check it out? Thank you!

I’ve seen some of your videos and it’s so sad how others think they can just go up and talk to your dog. Prayer go out to you! Also how did you get your dog? My family’s trying to get a service dog but we aren’t sure where to start

jaim haas anyone else think to yourself how she is trying to be diagnosed with issues? She is making money from these videos so insurance shouldn't be an issue. And a high heart rate during this video could also indicate lieing. She should be self diagnosing herself as a compulsive lier. I found this page? And the more I watch the more I'm getting frustrated with how false these "symptoms" are becoming.
@QueenSophie7 жыл бұрын
stop watching her then... and even with 20k views or 300k you only gain 10 to 5$ if you are not connected with a network... and even then they take a pourcentage of your money... you don't post videos you don't get paid for the month so yeah

I also suffer from iron deficiency. As well as migraines and cluster headaches. And just always feeling tired and weak, and get short of breath easily, and get spells of dizziness and lightheadedness. I also suffer from vasovagal episodes where my bp drops very very low very fast, heart palpitations (feels kind of like a flutter in my chest), and random spikes then of high blood pressure. Some of these issues I did find out can be caused by me being anemic. As well as having anxiety on top of that. Am on medication for the anemia, migraines (both preventative and after a migraine/headache has started), and meds for my heart. The repeated vasovagal episodes is the main reason I got my service dog, but she is also going to be trained for helping me with my anxiety as well.

I have dysautonomia, a rare form of POTS, called NMH. I was diagnosed by the tilt table test which sucked. My heart rate went from 58 too 246 to brush my teeth one time. My heart rate is generally low, though. 60s, generally, until I stand. Blood pressure goes whacky too. You either have it or you don't, so I mean if a doctor suggested you might have it, then they would immediately get you in to a cardiologist I would assume.. That's what happened with me.. Even if they have to take you too the hospital especially since you pass out, I would seriously suggest you go to the ER for it, if you can't get insurance.. I mean, KZbin is money, and then you can get on Medicare or Medicaid especially since you have been diagnosed with a "fainting disorder".. Just a suggestion.
@mybuffysummers6 жыл бұрын
ChaseMyLife this is all so true! Where I live the state provides medical insurance if your income is low enough in not sure what she makes on KZbin but it's possible i🙈

I would love to see a video of how to look for a shelter dog to become a SD. You mentioned dropping the metal bowl, which is smart. Could you share other suggestions what to look for at the shelter? I've been watching that new animal planet show that does the same thing. It's very interesting to me. Thanks!

I’m not joking I just scheduled a doc appointment bc they can’t figure out what’s wrong with me and I think I have this! I had a heart monitor on for a month and they said to eat more salt because my blood pressure was off and that’s why I was fainting. And my Fitbit says that my resting heart rate is 125 almost everyday and I’m 14. I’m also always nauseous and my chest always hurts in different pains every time though. I have lots of panic attacks too but I have been diagnosed with several anxiety disorders so that makes sense. I’ve been looking into service dogs and my doctor recommended it. Do you recommend anything when looking for the perfect dog?

You are dealing with alot of the same health issues as me. I can't stand for long At all without feeling dizzy, nautious, weak, heat flashes, rapid heart rate. I have daily headaches, migraines. Aalso have a heart problem. ( Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia) high blood pressure, ptsd, depression, hallucinations and anxiety. And sometimes I'll be walking and I will just fall flat on my face out of nowhere. Sometimes I slip sometimes I trip. And I never see it coming it just happens and boom I'm on the ground. My dog will stand over me licking my face. Assuring I'm ok. I totally understand what it feels like to be sick and feel sick everyday. I am also heat sensitive and nautious on the daily.

I can understand where you coming from. Take of your self and never quit till you get a proper diagnosis. We are lucky here in Canada because we have our provincial health insurance, though that means we may have to wait for 6 months to 2 years to see a specialist. I am training my dog to help me. Your videos are inspirational and helpful.
