NOTIFICATION SQUAD: 10:56. Screenshot that and treasure it forever. Ryotaro may have attempted to take me out once again, but at least this time it was ridiculously fun. If you don't hear from me again, it's because I've run off to join a Drift Racing team. (Either that or I've fallen down the stairs).

You are getting the wrong impression here. Your ordinary Japanese driver are one of the worse drivers I have come across. They are as bad as our drivers back home. They rarely use signals to indicate which way they want to turn at junctions. Most drivers do not observe the speed limit when passing through residential areas as they take short cuts through it. One of the biggest bad habit here is using their mobile phones while driving. I have been living in Japan for a year now and this is what I observed in my town. On the bright side, they do let pedestrians pass/cross at street crossing or at exits/entrances - that is when they are actually watching the road instead of their smart phone. Racers are better drivers than your ordinary Japanese drivers because they know it could cost them their live.

Story time: My fiancé booked us a surprise trip to Japan - I've always wanted to go, and as such I've been following you for a long time as I love your vids! I also love cars, so I've been following Noriyaro for a long time too. When I found out about the trip I suggested to my partner that we binge your videos, but she's already seen the majority of the Tokyo/Kyoto based ones, which was a nice surprise. Yesterday, I get home from a work trip abroad and she's talking about drifting this, drifting that, so I suggested Noriyaro's content, and she surprised me for a third time! The final surprise is that thanks to this video, she found the Festival of Motorsport on the 5th April near enough to where we are staying, and that we're now going to see that too 😄 All that, you just randomly bumping into Noriyaro (though if you head to Ebisu enough it's a given 😜) - feels like stars aligning or worlds colliding. Awesome :) Anyway, cool vid as per and thanks!!

You've turned a subject I literally don't give two shits about into something that genuinely excited and amazed me. You struck the right balance between kickass action and cultural background. You had the right amount of gags and soundbites, the interviews felt effortless and unprompted, and your summary at the end hit the right notes - nothing felt out of place. It feels like you've levelled up as a filmmaker. You need a new coat, though. :p

What really made this for me was the closeup shots from the side of the track while Chris was in the car, coupled with the drone footage at the same time. That is an extremely high production quality and racing lends itself very well to it. Top notch! :D
