I've always felt a little cringe feeling with the way we label everything as "Easter eggs." As a literary educator the correct term is "allusion"! I know definitions can change based on popular usage, but really what we refer to as Easter eggs are, in fact, allusions! I remember when Easter eggs were only found in DVDs when they were getting really popular and applied to hidden menu options and features about the movie. It was so cool to use the DVD remote to look for hidden clickable options in the DVD menus.

As much as I LOVED the movie as a whole I do think that Hush would have fit better within the story than Riddler. Riddler’s arc made sense but being an orphan affected by the Renewal project felt a bit forced. Have pretty much the same story but have the main antagonist as Tommy Elliot/Hush as the son of the murdered reporter seeking revenge on the corrupt city officials and Bruce Wayne. You could then give the movie an overriding theme of “sins of the father” as Bruce, Selina and Tommy Elliot deal with the consequences of their parents. Further reference to this theme could be Jim Gordon wanting to build a better city for his daughter and also the son of the murdered mayor who could become Robin/Nightwing in a future movie.
@vincesergi73392 жыл бұрын
How would have the riddles and mysteries work with hush? If you replace riddler with Hush then everyone would have said this movie would have worked better as Riddler or the villain is just riddler with the Hush monarch.
@chrisxx55832 жыл бұрын
@@vincesergi7339 True, it wouldn’t be an exact switch. You could tone down the riddle aspect and have them more as clues or breadcrumbs leading Batman to an endgame Hush is aiming for.
