The only reason why I show in the statistics as having bought the horse armor is that it was bundled with the actual DLC and the bundle was at a price that I would pay for the actual DLC combination. So the market play goes deeper than just selling horse armor.

Is this Honeywood though? I mean obviously it's Howick Historical Village, but they've radically changed the set decorations and theme music, so I'm thinking it's supposed to be a different town? They have used Howick for Darkwood, Gerdawn? (when Rowan buys the Southwind expansion), and a random road near Alderkeep or something. So unless the Sod House or Bodger's camp are in shot, Howick skits could be set anywhere in Azerim or nowhere in particular. On the other hand, they also sometimes use the Honeywood themesong for places nowhere near Honeywood, like the castle that has no interior.

This is why I love Old School RuneScape. It doesn't have any cosmetics. All your gear either costs in game gold or is earned through playing the game, like quests. It's not just people being irresponsible, though - these games are specifically and insidiously designed to trick people into spending more money than they otherwise would have, and in particular prey on neuro divergent people, gamblers and children. They will use any and all tricks they can think of to psychologically manipulate people into spending money, whether they can afford it or not - and anyone who says "well I don't feel manipulated, people can just not buy them" are the lucky ones who aren't the target demographic.
