The story goes that Rosie took Bon home after a show one night, she had a little more junk in her trunk than Bon was used to but he didn’t have any issues and apparently he was totally blown away by her stamina and performance. … Rumours are that when the band was in the area a year or so later Bon went in search of Rosie for a second date 😜 but was unable to find her.

For those of us who grew up in the ‘70’s in Australia, Bon Scott will forever be a legend. Two videos to watch - Let There Be Rock - live in Glasgow (1978 version) with Bon and Angus (who will blow you away!). Also It’s a Long Way to the Top (if you Wanna Rock & Roll), phenomenal live performance on the back of a flat tray truck as it drove through the streets of Melbourne (1976)

Bon Scott was the 2nd singer for the band. He started in 1974, after DAVE EVANS was their lead singer the first year. Bon was the singer that took them from Aussie bar band, to International success. He died in 1980 and Brian Johnson (their 3rd singer) took over until now. They had hits just in the last 2 years.

The band is out of Australia, although Bon, Angus, Malcolm and Cliff Williams (bass) were all born in Scotland and moved to Australia in the 1950s after a string of horrible winters in Scotland. Phil Rudd on drums is the only true Aussie in the band. Brian Johnson who came along later is from Northern England, where he lead other bands to mild success in the late 60s and 70s.
@mikefetterman67822 ай бұрын
This is during a time when the band was touring incessantly, and Bon's voice is tired and soaked in whiskey, so it's a little evil, mischievous, cracking. Plus the sound systems of the 70s were inferior to those Brian got to use later.

Bon Scott died a rocker's death.... Tragic, avoidable, and chemically induced. It's hard to imagine him making it as long as Brian Johnson in terms of health. He was still an amazing rocker and will live forever in rock history.

My 2 cents on the singers....Brian saved AC/DC and Back in Black (his first album) was their big breakout album, it was only to capitalize on the success that the earlier stuff was released in America so I'm forever grateful for him however Bon Scott was perfect for this band!! Watch him on the bagpipes and know that Bon is one of the greatest front men ever!

Vintage ACDC. Bon was 🔥 Angus was 23 years old at this time. He has always been this bundle of energy even as he aged. I've seen them 7 times, and it was 7 of the best rock n roll concerts I've ever seen.

No doubt Bon Scott will remain an AC/DC legend, for me Brian Johnson elevated the band to a new stratosphere though...all about opinions, to each their own. Enjoying watching your musical journey Boshido, keep on making us smile.

Your ears are not lying to you. Angus is the greatest good times guitarist ever. He isnt considered a technical genius due to the size of his hands. Hes only 5'2. And he says himself hes not even the best guitarist in his family. Angus is the greatest in my mind. Wait till you hear what Dave Gilmore can do.
