UV Map an Arm using Maya (Basics)

In this tutorial, we cover how to UV map an arm. We will be using tools like Cylindrical Mapping, Cut, Move and Stitch Together, as well as unfold using Autodesk Maya. This is an easy way to UV map an organic and complicated object, so let's get started!

Thank you! Excellent and fun as always! I had no idea the color option existed (what was I doing all this time??) If you want, you can define "Tile Padding" and "Shell Padding" in the "Layout UVs" options window. This way they won't invade other UV spaces.

Hi. At 2:54 of tutorial, how did you close the spherical after you creating it?? I try shift and middle click on the red one but i cant close the spherical uv. Plz help tnx a lot.

I didn't do anything fancy. I just clicked and dragged it (no shift or anything). I hope that helps!

@@AcademicPhoenixPlus i found it finally, first i should go to "preferences" and in the "display" section, i go to "viewport" section and change it to legacy, then everything works fine and normal for me. And again thank you so much, i learn a lot from your tutorials. As always you are the best.

I would recommended it. The less seams you have, the easier it will be to texture. I hope that helps
