Thanks for the tutorial! I tried modeling the Blade of Olympus from God of War because I couldn't find an image of your blade, and this was something that I was almost independently modeling for the first time. It turned out really good thanks to the tips in this video! I did make mistakes that'll give me huge problems in texturing if you're gonna do texturing tutorials for this blade lol, but considering it was my first time modeling something so big and crazy, I think I did okay. Thanks again! Edit: Fixed the mistakes.

Hey I love your videos, they help out a lot! I was wondering if you'd be up for doing a tutorial on modelling a stylized head like Pixar (I know you have tutorials for modelling heads in general but when I try to look for anything about making a stylized head specifically, it's all tutorials in ZBrush and sculpting, or using Blender with modifiers) it would be awesome if you could! Once again, love your stuff!

@XiTrOnEexe3 жыл бұрын
@@mech_Denisi guess we all did a mistake there, she didn't mentioned what she was doing with the vertices at 23:24 she kinda moved them together. I now have the problem that my ``blade`` is between the 2 closest vertice lines like a plane (its just thin as a paper if you get what I mean) also it gives me these black grey overlapping views when looking at in 3d, I guess they are somehow overlapping. I tried to move them but their like fixed. I don't know how to fix this. couldn't find anything similar on youtube. Any suggestions?

Sorry for the confusion. I accidently extruded, which made it look black, and then I clicked on Ctrl+Z (Undo). Then I duplicated it Ctrl+D. I hope that helps!

hey, i got a question. like on 23:22 you did something with the vertices like draged the yellow arrow together or something like that. I think I missed that detail while making it, and now I have the problem that my blade on the sharp site (like between 2 lines of vertices, ) is just thin like paper, and I cant really move them to get them bigger. I tried some stuff now but I don't know how to fix that. can someone help me?
@XiTrOnEexe3 жыл бұрын
i foudn a solution, its a bit weird, but i feel like you cut out a whole part of editing in the video. after we extruded the plane and kinda rotated it we still had a group of faces which were just a plane, but we also need them to get an angle to the next mesh, otherwise it will just stay a plane. you kinda cut that part out of the video but after analyzing it, when you duplicate the blade there is already this angle to the other mesh.

@XiTrOnEexe Жыл бұрын
@@galr5839 i would like to help, but its been a year I'm not sure how I did it. The way I make blades now is to not really have them sharp sharp, its more like a face really close together so I still have a good edge flow. idk if that makes sense
@AcademicPhoenixPlus Жыл бұрын
Hi all, this is a bit late of a response but I hope this helps. What I did was select the center vertices and I used 'scale'. On the side view, I selected the left handle so that it scales in one direction which will create a straight line. This will make the vertices merge easier! I hope that helps!
