Accessing menus: ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP device

I got this CPAP a few weeks ago and loving it. Took me around 15 mins to set up and works great. The humidifier is easy to fill with no spills.

GREAT POINT. WHEN ADJUSTING THE CLIMATE, TUBE TEMPATURE ETC. YOU MUST HAVE THE HEATED TUBE PLUGED IN. ALL OTHER VIDEOS DO NOT SAY THIS AND THEREFORE YOU CANNOT SEE THE CLIMATE CONTROL ETC OPTIONS!!! GREAT VIDEO!!!

What do you mean have the heated tube plugged in? I can’t find climate control on my machine or tube temperature. Mine goes from ramp time to humidity level. It’s a resmed airsense 10.

I just got a replacement one and the auto on/off isn't working no matter how long i wear/off the mask. I need to push the top button on/off and i know there is no setting not even auto revup fixes this. My old machine works fine so not power cord, climate tube or mask or water tank.

Fixed it, the smartsense fuction was off. Need to go into clinic menu to change it

4:03 of the Sleep Report Menu I don't get all of that breakout detail. I did sign up for My Air app but you only get a very generic 4 areas that are tracked. Also. What hours do they consider a day? is it 12a- 12p? I'm confused because my reports are off. Like today is around 130p EST but my the 4hours of usage that I started around 630a this morning is not showing up on 5/11 but shows up as done on 5/10?

I figured it out you have to go into the clinical menu settings by holding the home button and middle knob button down then lots more info shows up.

ali ihsan celik you’ll be able to get some data from MyAir. Otherwise you’ll need a provider to give you more detailed reports.

Hello! My Resmed machine shows events per hour on the sleep report, but my wife’s does not. Is there a setting for that?

I reckon it will be a matter of getting “essentials plus” switched on in clinical menu. You may need to take the device to an outlet.

turn on essentials plus in the clinical menu, enable this hidden menu by holding down both the home and round dial button for a few seconds.

turn climate control to OFF, then you can manually adjust the temp and humidity.

I wanted to ask you about Climate Control. I went into manual with the heated hose plugged in, and changed the humidifier from 4 to 3 because I was getting water in my mask. However, paging down to manual after pushing the button that you turn, the one on the right, the Climate Control went right back to 4 again, but I do have my machine set on Auto but I'm supposed to be able to adjust the humidifier and it should stay adjusted to the number I set it on but it does not & I wonder what I am doing wrong. I also turned down the tubing heat from 83 degrees they had it set to, to 72 degrees and that worked well, and stayed in the menu with not further adjustments needed. But for the life of me I cannot get the humidifier number to change it keeps going back to 4 that they had it set to. I change it and it resets it's self to 4 again when I should be able to turn it up to 6 or down as low as 1 or even turn it off. Watching your video has helped, my machine is just like yours and I just got it yesterday 2/24/2019. They took my old Remstar Plus from 2004 back with them (it was too old to get parts for anymore such as filters and humidifier chambers. I had gotten another sleep study done on 2/2/2019, then the sleep dr. filled out the papers. I have to show the sleep the doctor the "chip" and periodic visits every 90 days. They told me the machine will be fully paid for by Medicare since I am retired as was all my sleep study's etc., however I have to visit the sleep doctor for 8 months until the c-pap machine is finally considered mine. However, they seem nice at my sleep clinic, so I don't see a problem doing a dr. visit every 90 days and taking along the chip. If you are wondering what a sleep study costs here in American as you seem to be from the UK, it's $1,800.00 American Dollars, but since I'm 65 Medicare picks up the tab for everything and perhaps some of my supplement plans may get involved too. I like this new machine especially with the menu being in the front. My old machine you had to get up and look in the "top window" and then it was all back lettering in a green back-ground. I do have to get used to the hose being over my head instead of under my full face mask as it's been since 2004, how time flies huh? LOL...... Appreciate your demonstration, and thumbs up on this video. You video is the only one that I know of that goes thru the menu as a user like me uses. Some show you how to get into the settings, but can't see any advantage of being in there and other than the humidifier settings, I'm getting used to my new machine fairly fast. I slept well with it last night, my first night of using it and the mask that covers your mouth and fits up against your nostrils so that way if like me you can wear your glasses and the mask for when you fall asleep at night watching TV. I am still making up my mind if I like the magnets in the head-gear. If you want to know anything else from me, I surmise if you answer my comment it will show up in my e-mail.... Thanks for your time in making this video...... BTW I have no ramp because my machine is only set for a pressure of 5, at 4 you don't need a C-Pap machine but my record of waking in my sleep is 55 times an hour which is kind of off the charts, since that is considered very high. I never realized I was sleeping that poorly even with my old machine. So my esophagus pretty much stays open, does not need much pressure, but the amounts of waking up that I don't even realize I'm doing that the sensors picked up #55 is not so hot, so the c-pap machine is also a guard against that. Again thanks for your video. My home "set up person" was in a hurry + had a cold and didn't show me much, and I'm too lazy to read about an hours worth of books that come with the machine LOL...... I'm also going to make and adapter so the electric end of the hose does not get wet (they told me don't leave it get wet) then I fill the hose with vinegar to disinfect & clean it once a week. With my old plain hose it was easy, but this heated hose i'm going to have to do some blocking of the side hole, etc., as it's harder to clean. I washed my machine's hose and humidifier chamber once a week, while I clean my mask every day. I have a little spray bottle filled with Vinegar & a few drops of soft-soap disinfectant brand. I've been doing it this way since 2004 and have never gotten a lung infection or any other side effects. Thought I'd leave you know what I do, + your readers can read it too. C-pap machines can be imitating if your a first time user, and often just getting used to wearing one takes some major getting used to........ Also I wanted the c-pap machine called "Sleep Dream Geni" but I don't think Medicare would pay for that extravagant machine. I liked the rotating valve where the hose plus into that swivels on top the machine and is the same machine they hooked me up too for my sleep study, only they handled all the controls, all I had to do was call out to the therapist that the air was too cold, or I had to pee, etc. They were really good at my clinic, they even had a shower if you wanted to bath before going home. They brought me extra blankets and I told them I sleep in my recliner at home and I don't like to lay flat so they had a nice recliner in the room for me to use. I took mussel relaxers since I can't have antihistamines to induce sleeping because I'm not used to going to sleep so early and certainly even though I had a really nice room, I don't sleep good in strange places. They even had "loaded" cable TV.. LoL... All the comforts of home plus someone to wait on you hand and foot. I didn't sleep good for the first two hours, I was up peeing like crazy, but then for 4 hours l slept great, so well they left me go home an hour early.

Thanks for your story Pete. CPAP has changed a lot of lives for the better. Humidificaiton is a tricky beast to tame. There is a lot of trial and error involved with it.

Wayne, I think the best way to have your data stop being sent is to contact sleepvantage. www.sleepvantage.com.au/ This is ResMed's customer service arm. You ciould also put your machine over to "aeroplane mode" which would then stop data being sent. Alternatively, if you wanted someone else to view your data (like me :)) you contact us and we arrange to have it all swapped over. I hope this helps? Andrew
