Hands down the greatest moment in the history of opening ceremonies for fhe Olympics. It's such a beautiful song, but to hear it being sung with so much passion, so much raw emotion by a widowed, gravely ill Celine Dion from atop the Eiffel Tower, the song's message truly came to life in a way that I don't think can ever be topped. After watching I AM CELINE DION I was shocked seeing her performance at the Olympics…. Her struggles with her disorder were horrific and I thought we’d never see her perform again. My thoughts exactly. I thought perhaps she was not able to perform despite the whispering… or that the rumor was entirely wrong. I just heard this beautiful voice ringing out from the Eiffle Tower and then I started weeping when the camera zoomed in to reveal Celine. The camera work was very well done and very symbolic. She was this tiny white speck on the Eiffel Tower at the beginning of the song… just as she was a diminished version of herself for years. The zoom in then revealed the return to her former self. Ok. Enough gushy analysis ❤
