The now 11-year-old son of Ronnie Oneal III told the Tampa Bay area jury what he remembers from the evening of March 18, 2018. It's the night Oneal, of Riverview, is accused of gunning down the boy's mother with a 12-gage shotgun and, according to testimony, even trying to recruit his son to help. If convicted in the double murder trial, Oneal faces the death penalty. Oneal is representing himself without a defense attorney. bit.ly/2S557UM

It isn't a question of bravery. That kid did not have a choice. He endured tremendous trauma. Going through that doesn't make anyone brave. It tears you up inside and in this case, he learned that his own father is a very imposing, intimidating, dangerous man. Bravery implies choice. Bravery means you're willing and ready. This is a child. He was never ready for this.

I think the son was too afraid of his father to tell the detectives and the dad’s attorneys the truth when the incident first happened. He just witnessed his dad become a monster before his eyes. @@zakwanberlin he's hard to consider a credible witness when his answers have varied from the first time he was questioned, and @pnutdageneral said "Speculation nobody cares what you think", possibly implying that the original(parent) comment was wrong, and mere speculation, the original(parent) comment mentioned that the boy had reason to tell the truth the second time he was questioned, if @pnutdageneral doesn't believe that, then @pnutdageneral has no reason to believe that the child would give honest or consistent answers when questioned again, which would make the boy, an incredible witness in @pnutdageneral's eyes.
