Sept 15, 1979, I saw this lineup of the band in Midland, Texas. Unmatched raw power and ferocity. No elaborate sets, no props, just AC/DC tearing the thunder from the skies. RIP Bon, and Malcolm.

Bon at least gives the appearance he'd have naked chicks in cages on stage if he could. Also, flames and fireworks kept Kiss around… Anyway, for bands that will last, or at least some of the musicians in them will, Joe Bonamassa may not work for you as he's not a band, but how about Wolf Alice? Even if the band doesn't last, I'm betting Ellie Rowsell will.

When Phil's drums kick in at the beginning, you could feel the power start to build. Its amazing how you can take 5 people, put them together, and its epic. Mal, Cliff, and Phil, played so tight it was like they were one. Angus, incredible guitar player, and a snappy dresser, and Bon, sounded like he was in the middle of an orgasm when he sang, which is always a good thing. AC/DC destroyed the mold of what rock and roll bands should be, and that's why they've been around for over 40yrs. The music of AC/DC will never die. Malcolms passing is like losing an old friend. Well good-bye my friend, well done.

This it the AC/DC that I appreciate the most. I miss Bon but under the circumstances Brian had enormous shoes to fill, stepped up to the plate and hit a home run. Not a grand slam but a home run. He deserves much respect. Very few, if no other, could've pulled it off. Nuff said.

I distinctly remember that Brian was in another band, and when the boys came a calling, his bandmates TOLD him, "you HAVE to do it." Big shoes, that were well filled. Their style and sound changed a bit, but in his own way, Brian's definitely "made his mark." For Those About To Rock, Hell's Bells--powerful tunes, as well as others Brian sang lead vocals on. RIP, Bon...

+sagw adloup back in black was mostly written by Bon. he was a prolific writer , and died with a notebook full of completed lyrics. people saw lyrics for shook me in it. regardless what band says. they wanted to start fresh so gave Brian lyric credits and not Bon but the reason it was successful was because Bon brought them to the brink with Highway then handed them a goldmine of lyrics. which Imo they used through Ftatr. because if Brian wrote that album , what happened? he just lose his writing ability? no it was Bons words. you can tell the way he wrote. he was London finishing the lyrics For follow up to Highway. listen to Brian do any of Bons tracks. he cant. he wrecked them. that's why they only did a handful in concert. like go down. find Brians. doesn't compare. Bon was just a pure Frontman. 70s ACCA is the best. Powerage album is as good as it gets.

When I was 14 in 1979 this was the greatest rock music in the world. The old people in their 20 's told us it was the beatles.

Mieszkam w Polsce.Miałem wtedy 12 lat . Kolega miał rodzinę w Szwecji i pożyczył mi wtedy wraz z gramofonem płyty przywiezione stamtąd.AC DC albumy Let There Be Rock I Powerage oraz KISS Music from the elder. Przez tydzień były to relikwie w moim pokoju . Nie mogłem się napatrzeć i nasłuchać. Były to dobra absolutnie niedostępne dla zwykłego śmiertelnika w tamtym czasie ... Pozdrawiam . Jarek

Bon had a voice and a scream that was one of a kind, pure unadulterated hard rock.

Not to be mistaken for Metal.....AC/DC is not a metal band. They were a Hard Rock band. Judas Priest, Metallica are of the Metal genre'. But yes..one of if not the Best Rock Band ever.
