There is another Acer 50 nitro that has a completely different interior layout. Power supply is up top, there's a big disk tray that takes up a huge portion of the front of the case. This is the N50-600 EB18 model. It still uses a GTX 1650 tho.

Motherboard seems to have 4 ram slots and WiFi so it likely isn't 'bottom of the barrel' stuff. 3060 is much better than a 3050. And the Ryzen if it's a 3600/5600/5600x/5600G it should be fair enough for a 3060 in 1080p. But the 3060 should do a bit of 1440p too so you can also go for a 1440p monitor. And if the pictures are real it should have a tower CPU cooler which is better than the Acer prebuilt in its stock form. But it looks like there's issues with quality control, so beware.

I have a Acer Nitro 50(I got it for a real good deal) and I have to say the PSU looks like some high school student's metal shop project. I'm just using the Acer to harvest parts(CPU, GPU, RAM, NVMe) for a Corsair box and Corsair PSU.

To anyone wondering, don’t buy a 3050 it’s a 1070 with rt cores technically, don’t buy a 3050 get a used 1070 it’s a way cheaper alternative

Not a bad card to be honest, lacking some Vram but if all you do is 1080p gaming it can do just fine!

Problem is a 1070 does not have dlss 2.0. and this is the only reason I like this card.

@@TNW1337 oh I agree, I’m talking solely about cost, dlss is basically the sole reason to get the card, problem with that is that idk if dlss alone is worth the $200 extra, especially when it only nets you .5-3% more frames than a 1070, of course, for the price of the 3050 there are much much better alternatives, If my budget were a $300 card, I’d go with a 2070S

Have the same pc (nitro n50 620) nd it has a 500watt psu, 3060 ti, i5 11400f and 16 gb of ram. The motherboard supports LGA1200 and im thinking of upgrading to a i5 11600k bec the bottleneck of my pc is crazy. Im wondering if 500 watt is enough if i upgraded to a i5 11600k. Ofc im not stupid enough to not upgrade the cooling.

2nd option i have is instead of upgrading the expensive way. I could get an new motherboard and a new pc case. Ive done some research that you can infact overclock none "K" intel cpus by giving the cpu more voltage and it can only work using Asrock motherboards which i am maybe also planning to buy instead of upgrading to a new 260$ cpu.

The pc will only allow 65w Cpus. So no k CPU will work but you could do a I-7 and that would open it up.

Yeah but to be honest getting a 750w or 800w Psu and you cover your self if you ever want to get a higher end gpu, add more drives or fans.

6600XT is 160W, add 60-80w on the CPU, and the whole PC is going to sit at 300w or so in max load. Doesn't sound like a lot of stress. The problem is your CPU though. 3500 is worse than the 3500x (Pretty sure the 3500 has half the cache of a 3500x), which already isn't much better than something like the i7-7700/i3-10100 or the r3 3300x, if at all. And prebuilt RAM is slightly slower than DIY PCs so the CPU struggles more especially when framerates are high. If you play at resolutions lower than 1440p, a 6600xt sounds like too much for the 3500, because CPU load in games do scale a bit with framerates. A RX6600 may be a better choice for 1080p. Should give you 30-75% more framerates assuming your CPU doesn't struggle too much.

@@RS-nq8xk mm alright. I have upgraded my ram too to 2 sticks of 3200 mhz ddr4 Corsair vengeance. If I played mostly low settings 1080 most of the time would it be detrimental to the cpu

@@permafrosttt2262 Specific low settings do actually reduce CPU load for a given FPS, not just GPU load. Usually related to shadows, level of detail or models. But the 3500 with small cache and typical not custom overclocked RAM would not do high enough framerates (for example 250-350fps in PUBG) to fully utilize a 6600xt even in more competitive games like PUBG/Fortnite/Apex, so I suspect the 6600xt is overpowered anyway.

Ok so boom I got the noctua heat sync with a noctua exhaust fan, I bought the same case fan you installed in the front and the place I took it to get the install said it “wouldn’t be safe” because of the motherboard? Any ideas? Can I still install it or should I not?

What wouldn't be safe? I would take it to a different PC shop or show them the Video it is not hard to do you self and the your not going over and amp or watt limit so not sure what they are talking about. sounds like they just do not want to deal with it.

Yes you need to do software and settings and drivers on the actual pc after you install it. He doesnt show that part at all. Youre gonna need to download the new driver specific for the new Gpu you use and some other things. There see youtube videos on it, just look up which gpu you have in the video Unless I misunderstood the question, youre gonna want to upgrade the RAM Asap to at least 2x 8gb, if thats what you were asking. Ram and GPU are the main ones. Then Cooling.
