When i was a child about 8yrs, i spent summers with my grandparents at the cottage, a retired birdwatcher installed several birdboxes nearby & i followed him around every wk as he checked the boxes for nests, # of Eggs & # of chicks . As yrs went by he needed help to check his boxes & i gladly stepped up! His last summer before he died he was no longer able to check his beloved birds, so i carried the ladder & his diary & reported my findings to him every wk. At the Local Pond ;• A Duck had a single duckling. (The (too many) Nil-Geese seem to kill all other chicks. (The male Swan really hates and chases them!)). Anyway;• the single duckling was giving his mom a rough time, while always wanting to explore a different direction than where she just went. After a while, my attention shifted. Untill I heard a duckling call it's mom from the middle of the pond. There was no response. Tini duckling (max. 1 week old?) swam from one side of pond to the other side, calling his mom. Pipipipipiipipipipiipipipiipipipipiipipipiiipipipiipipiiipipippipiiipiip... for I don't know, it felt like an hour! Finally there was one quaak from the air already, as she landed near mid pond. The little one excitedly approaching her: pipipipipipipipipipip. She patiently waited for the little duckling to arrive, then one quack, and she led him home. Beneath a small bridge is a passage to the other larger pond, where most water birds have their nests on an island. I watched this Duck family for the rest of the summer. That duckling never again left it's mom's side, untill it grew big enough to do so.

What a beautiful little creature. I love watching your videos, seeing these sweet little birds come into the world… their infantile features always remind me that we are still living amongst little dinosaurs. 🥰 You do such good work. ❤

The moment the parents realised there was a new baby in the water! I would give my last tail feather to know what that conversation was 😍 The looks between them was priceless. Thankyou for bringing the joy of parenthood to this family. The chicks are stunning!

Hey Albert, i must say you are doing such a great job. I have seen other birds hatching channels, but yours, i found the most interesting, how you describe your emotions to that bird and every little detail and time you spent with the birds, it really inspired me alot, one thing, that i think you should do, is to increase the frequency of such beautiful videos you make. Love from Pakistan, if you want any type of eggs or some special bird from Pakistan, i will send you. Your passion inspired me alot boy. Keep it up.

As a warning, tampering with wild birds' nests/eggs/chicks is EXTREMELY illegal in the majority of places. Nobody should ever try this at home unless they are licensed to do so.

@@katiecastaneda8275 I think it was more a warning for all the well-meaning, but inexperienced bird lovers that watch his channel rather than the man himself. He definitely did nothing wrong, but the average joe should probably not attempt.
@batfurs30012 жыл бұрын
I'm from the same country he is and I've done a decent amount of wildlife rehabilitation in shelters and I very much doubt he has a valid license. And even if he does, this is still not allowed. Neither is purposefully raising a crow to be tame, or releasing Egyptian geese back into the wild (they're extremely invasive). So IF he has a license, I would not be surprised if it gets revoked. Because the way he handles rehab is extremely irresponsible most of the time from a legal and/or ecological standpoint, as far as I've seen. Don't get me wrong, he's great at raising birds, but raising birds =/= rehabilitating birds. The diamond dove video almost made me cry, it was so cute But most of his videos that involve wildlife have me cringing
