How soon after the surgery can you determine if it’s a screw irritation/issue? Possible to know before running/jumping is cleared?

I am 4 months post surgery. I really never had much pain from the initial tear to post surgery. I’ve been in physical therapy since the surgery and now starting to jog during my physical therapy sessions. I for sure feel the discomfort of the screw when jogging. It’s not pain but doesn’t impact my initial jog as I limp a bit until I can alter my gate and mentally adjust. No palpable discomfort at all as mentioned in your video. Will this discomfort go away as time passes? Again, not pain but more like a slight shin splint upon impact of heel strike when jogging. Thanks!

Hi Wesley, Thank you for sharing your knowledge, It's been a 5 years since my ACL Surgery and from last couple of months I am feeling the pain at the exact side you mentioned in the video, (Above tibia side, where screw placed) No doubt, my leg is so week and I never done a proper exercise, still so much difference in my left and right leg's calf, hamstring and strength Kindly advice me, what would I do ?

I had a knee surgery back in late 2011 or early 2012. And I’ve been having intermittent screw pain. Depending on the load I’m putting on my knee. It generally goes away within a week or so once I lighten up my load. I’ve also noticed during winter months it’s more prone to almost a sharp throbbing pain when it becomes irritated.

Have been having this problem and I am almost 7 months after surgery. I feel it walking and jumping and is hypersensitive to touch I can't even sleep on it. I have not started running yet but will be soon I probably will fell pain during that as well.

@@blackaliniteardropz5363 It's been 1 1/2years and I still have screw pain. The surgeon was a total ass , so I am certain he did a shitty job. When I expressed my pain and the knee popping, he said " it's all in your head" his name is Dr.Nuzzo works in Capitola, California. He deserves to be put in his place. I'm in pain everyday of my life since surgery.
