So many flat landed people do skateboard reviews... In the Hill country this thing hauls ass I've gotten mine up to 25 miles an hour clocked. downhill I've got it up to 40 miles an hour and the brakes still break. Love this little bugger

Speed test over stone with those bumps is not a legit test in my opinion road or other smooth surface is the intended for optimum performance. Just a critique love the vids tho bro.

In that test i rode over the regular road, pavement, pedestrian and shopping centre car park (the clip i used was over paved but if you join electric skateboard club in fb i can show u speed test video over road same result) , it wasn't going to go any faster my friend (unless u get a lighter rider, im 85kg)!

Very good videos guys! Loved the X-mas video :) Well done! What RE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE HUB MOTORS?
@eSk8r
@eSk8r 7 жыл бұрын
Well its a smaller board not the most powerful, but saying that the hub motors performed well on the hill climb! :)
@PavelGarmas
@PavelGarmas 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate!I was interested if the hub motors are as powerful as the belt motors....how is the clearance ? Did you hit the motors on the ruff surface? I did do couple of reviews on the Fles e-board but it is a belt driven system, I did think about getting a hub motor board but I am 17.5 stone so not sure :)

Great video mate I did get 21 mph on this board maybe slightly down hill and weigh 12 stones my only worry would be maintenance/warranty issues on my range test I got 10 miles but started to loose power after 9 for a beginner it's a decent board.

Bro- great review! What’s a good portable long range board? I purchased the boosted board but I’m constantly having battery anxiety. I know the extended battery is coming soon but this electric skateboard thing has got me hooked!

About the top speed, maybe you should try it on a smooth surface because on mine I'm going a bit faster than the 18 mph advertised !

My to speed is ~19mph. 8-10 miles range going fast, avg 15mph. Noise and ride quality sucks. Overall, decent performer and easy to like. Many shortcomings yes, but enough positives together make this a pretty good board. Wouldn't win the best of any award tho.

Sure it will, but I feel you should get a bit higher speed. At least 18mph. I've seen reports of 18mph or higher for someone heavier than you. Maybe your height causes more air resistance? We're splitting hairs now, but try another S2.

eSk8r, on a smooth flat surface ones weight should have very little effect on the top speed. With more weight you should get there, it just takes longer. 85 kg is a pretty average weight too, at least in American standards.

Good video but bring down the background music like a lot when you are talking while riding the board it is super hard to understand you.

Yeah,, the speed test you did not really legit due to bumpy surface. Just got an S2 and was able to hit speeds of 18-19 mph on flat, average quality asphalt, and I weigh about 195 lbs.

1) Too much annoying music 2) Doubt that many esk8s could reach max speed on that horrible brickwork, stick to smooth surfaces 3) This board is hardly light 4) 7-8 miles range is not the 14 they advertise 5) 2-2.5 hrs recharge is hellalotta more than the 90 minutes they claim 6) They deleted Comments elsewhere about revamping the remote in 2018 7) Everyone reports their customer service sucks 8) Disclose: Did you buy the board or was it sent free for review?

Acton Blink worthless junk. Followed the directions exactly for remote to synch. Won’t synch with the remote, and the board is useless. No tech support phone number; which tells you a lot about Acton. Thanks Acton for messing up Christmas 2018 for my son.

I believe some of the parts or moldings from Acton are made from an "Asian" facility. However had a bad experience with Acton, so I don't like them. I am making my own DIY electric skateboard, waiting for the rest of my parts. I will make a dual Torque Boards 6374 190kv motor system with a 12s4p battery, BMS, VESC's, LED lights; then convert it to a 4WD setup and do a comparison. It will obviously be over-engineered, but on purpose for a few reasons. One is experimental and in my opinion if you distribute loads, stresses, and strains over 4 motors; then each only carries 25% of the work load and will be efficient, run cool, and the belts won't have so much demand on them, etc.... When I'm done within this month, I'll post a video of them. Estimated speed 35+ MPH, range 20-30 miles, 6300 watts of power on dual system and 12,600 watts of power on the quad....
