Dude!!!This was so helpful. I will look for the gear oil video. I was out of town when my clutch pedal suddenly popped loud and then I have hydraulic fluid under the master cylinder area. It is at a Honda dealer and I am hoping to not get a crazy bill. Again, thanks for the content. Mine is same as yours but black and 250K miles - yet looks brand new. Love it.

Oh man somehow I feel like that's gonna happen to me. Let me know what it ends up being so I can buy the parts now! 😂 I wish mine was nicer but the previous owners were terrible to it

Hey man thanks for the video, I have the exact same v6 accord and theres nearly no videos on it! I also a sticky/hard pedal when doing a high rpm pull from 1>2>3>4 gears. It also makes a loud chirping noise when not pressing the clutch that I've narrowed down to a vibration on the clutch fork. I have tried changing the slave cylinder but not the clutch line and I have the same sticky pedal on pulls. Do I pretty much need a new pressure plate/clutch? Thanks for any info!

Yeah unfortunately you may need to do a whole clutch job. I'm no pro but it seems logical. The clutch line prolly wouldn't have an effect. But if it makes you feel better I also probably need to do a whole clutch job haha. And timing belt

@@JessLehman Yea that's probably what I'll end up doing. Just wondering how long have you had the pedal problem? I've had it for about a year and it doesnt seem to be getting worse
@JessLehman6 ай бұрын
It's been an issue since I got the car in Feb 2022 actually. But I got a good deal on the car and I think that's why. It hasn't gotten worse over those two years but I also drive the car differently because of it

@@JessLehman Are you thinking about doing the clutch yourself? I've located the service manual and it looks to be pretty involed, removing alxles, undoing and removing steering rack/subframe, removing transmission/engine mounts and supporting engine with jacks/engine holder. Also it's a dual mass flywheel so you can't resurface it. The pressure plate we have is SAC/Self Adjusting so it might need a special tool from honda to install properly (but the new one you get should already be setup for installation). I'm honestly torn because it's involved enough that I don't have the equipment to do it myself and finding someone who knows what they're doing here is just as hard.

I haven't looked into what's involved yet. But mine needs a timing belt/water pump too and at that point I could just drop the whole engine cradle and do those and new axles. Maybe port the head or something stupid

My 09 v6 coupe just started doing the soft clutch running 5000rpms through 3rd anf 4th.. wouldn't let me shift into 5 at high rpms. Had to pull the clutch up with my foot while driving and then went into 5th as i slowed down. Hope this helps. If not im going to drive it easy for s9me time to save up for the dreaded clutch job. Ugh

Yeah I'm afraid I'm gonna have to save for a clutch too. Good luck! Hope it fixes the problem!
