Hello! I'm Andy - a semi-professional singer-songwriter from the UK, based in Germany. I'm a solo artist as well as vocalist of a rock band. I also teach English Language at university level, and this semester, due to covid-19 restrictions forcing an online semester on us, I did a special online version of my course "The Language of Songwriting."
Alongside a bunch of songwriting challenges, part of the final project included the option of making a reaction/review video to a song that my students particularly enjoy, discussing what elements of the song(writing) are special to them. I never give out tasks I'm not willing to do myself, so I recorded one of my own (Ghost Love Score by Nightwish, also on my channel). I put it on KZbin for fun to see whether there was interest in this kind of video, and I was really pleasantly surprised at the positive responses! So I've gone ahead and made some more!
In contrast to the many wonderful reactors out there, I'm reviewing a song I already know well. My reactions, therefore, are not as spontaneous or sensational as those of professional reactors ;-) Would you like more? I think it is a more "rich on color" version than the others - but that's because I am crazy about her voice. All 3 are simply singing on the highest level - so no comparison necessary - 3 great versions, just pick between them, depending on your mood - it won't get better.

Diana Ankudinova is a young performer who shocks us with her pleasant voice and takes us into the abyss of events!!! Diana Ankudinova is unique and inimitable, goosebumps from her voice!=)))) Diana sings as if she lives in the song! a wonderful cover of a wonderful song. floor is truly gifted and is chock full of talent in the " Nth " degree. For me her connection with emotion of the words is just a bit behind Lara's version. I would like to believe that the rock/metal genre influences is what affects her performance. Very entertaining but i [refer Lara's take.

Nicely put: unsurprisingly beautiful! Nice react and for sure she made this cover her own, however, as you mentioned, she followed part of Lara Fabian's version. The end gives me shivers, when she get a little raspy. I see it more as a tribute to a good singer.

The song didn't make it to spotify so far, so if this should happen in the (near) future it would be interesting to hear if the mix has been changed to emphasize/improve instruments in some parts of the mix.

I am glad Floor fans do not lower themselves to comment in reactions on a Dimash song to comment Floor is much better. They respect people who prefer other singers. I liked the reply of Andy saying he is not comparing, only mentioning the differences. For me Floor is much better as Dimash but will never comment that in a Dimash reaction. My reaction is only directed to this comment person and absolute not to the majority of Dimash fans, I am sure most of them are nice people and respect other people’s opinion.

An impossible choice ;-) Dimash's performance is on stage and Floor's is in the studio so we don't have a comparison of setting. If I want to hear a metal version, I'll go to Floor. If I want the dramatic, I'll go to Dimash, and if I want the emotional, I'll go to Lara. I love all three and they are all next-level vocalists, so I don't think we need to choose a best performance!
