FYI, fellow viewers, Glurp costs $54.95, the upgrade kits (arm rods, eye sheet, and nose sheet) each cost $9.95, and a puppet stand costs $19.95. All in all, very affordable! The upgrade kits don't need to be bought more than once per puppet, too.

I love how even a professional maker like Adam still sticks his tongue out when he’s focusing on a craft. Here I get people snickering because I do it, I’ll show them these videos when they do it!!

This is such a universal gesture that people have studied it. www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/sticking-tongue-out#:~:text=When%20a%20person%20sticks%20out,stick%20out%20their%20tongue%20involuntarily. Seth, the fur is very forgiving and a whip stitch is a breeze. The only spot to take care on sewing is down the face. Go slow, use even stitches. Maybe search for “Henson stitch”. When you turn the head right side out, you can use a stiff brush to move the nap of the felt to help hide the seam. Good luck and have fun!

Just want to say thanks Adam. I understand that it’s probably not the easiest thing to do keeping track of all the stuff that you have to do in the craft at the same time as keeping track of what’s going on with the camera where it is if it’s recording. I imagine it to be quite a headache. But just know it’s not unappreciated.

I'd love for, if there are more one-day puppet builds, this to be a build-along stream or real-time video. I find so much of my energy for my craft in sharing the space and passion with others, and I feel like having this in the bg of a craft session (or even just the establishing of the community in a chat section) would be so helpful.

This is one of my favorite videos I don’t know why. I’ve never been a big fan of puppets stuff but after reading and learning so much about Jim Henson I’m super motivated and really want to make some of my own. And don’t worry about it Adam… you know how the old saying goes… Measure once and cut three times… And then do it right the next time once you get back from the store buying new materials 😂 It happens to the best of us. If it’s worth doing…. it’s worth doing twice

The kits that Monkey Boyz Productions sells come with guides that show both written and illustrations for the sewing stitches used in their construction, along with links you can look up online to show just how to sew them. I recently purchased the "Flick" kit, and am in the process of making my first puppet! MBP is great for anyone who's looking to make their first puppets. I also recommend looking up Adam Kruetenger's channel on You Tube, as he is a master puppet maker and enthusiast, and has TONS of videos for DIY demos for many techniques for puppet making.

Mistakes are part of life. Now he's just unique. He is like no other puppet. While everyone's is perhaps perfect, yours is uniquely different. He has a seam. Could carry a back story. Or could be a scar. Its just being different and unique. See mistakes as a bespoke and custom version of something that will be the same for everyone who buys it. Plus it's a chance to buy another one and do it right should you want to.

Being depressed doesn't mean you can't be creative. Just means there are things happening to you that make life a struggle. Creating an object is one of many ways to deal with depression. The euphoria that you experience when you accomplish what you set out to do is a great reliever of depression. So yes, if you are depressed, you can make this. Stop telling yourself that you can't. That leads to more depression.

Hey Adam! sewing tip: Don't load your needle with more thread than you would pull further from your hand to elbow - (I hope that makes sense) like disposable blades, you'll have to reload your needle more often, but there's no reason to make sweeping pulls behind or up to your head. It'll save a lot of mechanical effort and go even faster!

In case anyone cares - with the safety eyes secured, if you want a socketed look to the eyes, you can go up one side of the eye, wrap your thread around the stalk a few times, go down the opposite side and gently, emphasis gently, pull until you have the look you want. As a maker of many a crocheted soft toy, I can't tell you what a difference it makes to them.

Speaking of Little Shop of Horrors, Glurp makes me think of Audrey a bit, especially with the fleece turned inside out, it kinda gives this 'bald vulture' look.
