Hmm... I'm following along here to learn the slicer and I noticed that clicking on anything, like Advanced, for example, is VERY SLOW to respond. Then, after clicking something else, Orca just CRASHED!!!! I hope that this is not a usual thing, because with my old printer, I use Cura and not even once has that crashed! To me, this is 2024, the days of software crashing should be long over. I know that Cura can be set up to work with this printer and Klipper. If this Orca proves unstable, then I'll look into that. The thing is too, there should be zero conflicts. This is a fresh install of Windows 10 with no unofficial software installed. DANG!

Which Installer or site did you use? If you used the Github, try to uninstall it and follow the link from my previous comment. It should be working.

Could you please confirm what the "portable" version is and what that's all about? I'm assuming that it's just one where you can run Orca without "installing" is as all the necessary files and DLLs are within its own folder. But I'm not sure as I've not used Orca before. And if that's what it mean, then if you don't save your own profiles and data in a different path, would it save ALL changes and profiles to the same folder, thereby, making it truly "portable" where you can just copy the folder over to any computer and it just works??

Lol, I did see the portable version too, but I guess it is for the lighter laptops. Should go for the normal version

You mentioned using "Fluid". Will you be going through how to install that on Windows 10? I went to the github for it, but there doesn't seem to be a Windows installer, per say. There is source code, but I haven't worked with any compilers lately. Not sure where to go with this as yet. Ideas?

Ok, the V3 Plus runs Klipper as Firmware for that printer, the interface is based on Fluid. For the Slicer to slice models to print on the V3 Plus, Orca Slicer can run on Windows 11... but I'm not sure if they also support Windows 10. Checking orcaslicer.net/ It seems that it should be working on Windows 7 and up. Try to use the link that I have mentioned before and run the installer.

Great video. When I send a print from orca to the printer the printer does not do an auto bed level. Is there code I can input to ensure it does auto bed level before each print. If so where would I put said code?

Thanks. How do you send a print to your printer? I usually do via the method in the video, in 2 steps. If I'm correct the Orca Slicer should have the full printer profile from the V3 Plus in there, also the right start Gcode. Check in the Printer settings if there is a start print line...

Yeah, you can't send it from Orca directly to the printer... You need to save it on your desktop and then go to your printer and import it via the webinterface

Hi, thanks for the video. Could you tell me how you get previews of the print when using fluid please? I have followed your video but when I add files via fluid I don't get the preview like you do. Thank you

Oh thank you. the Preview you'll can check in the Printer settings in Ocra Slicer. At basic information under the header Advanced, Gcode Thumbnail, it needs to be 320x320/PNG. I'll cover that in a video soon
