I just found your channel as trying to get healing for my addictive behaviors! You answer SO many of my questions of why I am the way I am. Thank you! I have CPSTD from when 15 being gang raped, 5 marriages, multiple abortions, last marriage to abusive naracsisst, lost 2 homes and everything. Been moving about every year for 15 years. Been seeking healing, Christian ministry, regular counseling for 20 years. Better than I was but still paranoid, no trust, lots of physical pain issues. Using kratom, not much now, but dependant on it to function without pain and aniexty. I'm 66 now and so frustrated that this seems so overwhelming to tackle. Suggestions for getting healed of all this. Started with my naracsisst abusive parents

ACA, (Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families) has helped me tremendously. Its a 12 Step program with weekly meetings, some online, and is a safe, supportive space to speak ur truth and heal from a traumatic past. Some meetings r "healthier" than others, so if one group doesn't feel right, try others. Find someone to be ur sponsor and create a "team" of recovering friends to be ur support network. Also " energy work" such as Reiki, Healing Touch, Pranic Healing, Eden Energy work, etc. helps A LOT. And physical movement like yoga, Tai Chi, helps get the energy moving, loosens the "body armor" and frees up the "issues in our tissues." Dont be discouraged if money is an issue. 12 Step meetings cost $1, sponsors dont charge. Some energy workers offer sliding scale fees, or donate their services thru a church, Community center or clinic. Ask around. Some will barter for sessions. Tai Ci, yoga classes are easy to find, in person, on line or DVD's from local library. Many blessings to u on ur healing journey. ❤ Dont give up. 😘

"Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you don't feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. Have a nice day!"

I have come to realise that true healing began when I stopped blaming others.. It put the power in their hands, the counsolers hands, and all it was doing was identifying the root, yet when accomplished with a blame narrative, it kept the pattern repeating.. I learned it's a 3 part process.. 1.) Identify cause and patterns; 2.)process and forgive myself and the others; 3.)Establish extreme self honesty on how to take responsibility for my life; free from victimization and blame(no matter what) True empowerment is possible once blame, shame and guilt are forgiven. I give all credit to GOD, Jesus, and the will Spirit gave me to face the music and Rise again! I believe all can find peace and healing . GOD Bless all on the healing journey

@@DocSnipes very briefly. Do you believe a sense of loneliness lack of self esteem, roots of codependent behavior, can be MUCH worse in trans people. Those of us who’s trauma was just being trans and hiding into mid adulthood. I did all sorts of things from 18-35 trying to find my way, running from being trans. And now when I listen to things on codependency it all rings so loud it hurts. I know cis people have self esteem and self love issues. But in your experience, trans people seem to be on another level for this. Assuming they didn’t live their truth from a young adolescent age.

Oh how I wish I could just sit down some afternoon and have coffee and just talk to you. Just listening to your knowledge since I am a psychology junkie, I just love it. You are brilliant and fascinating. I was wondering if you have any videos that cover pregnancy anxiety and worries. Especially for people who are on certain medications that they have to stop abruptly. It's hard because some doctors say to wean off and others say to quit suddenly. Some say the benefit of weaning off quickly outweighs the risk for the mother's Mental Health. How do women who are pregnant or just people in general when having to make quick adjustments? What kind of coping strategies can help make times easier? This can be for pregnant women or even people that suddenly lose access to their insurance and can't afford medications. That topic as well as how to approach. Especially ADD medication, that's my struggle having to quit my prescribed medication for ADHD that I have been on for a long time, suddenly. Ugh lol

My husband died just after our son turned 2. I believe he has a secure attachment to me. I allowed him to nurse past infancy and he's always slept with us. I'm consistent enough with discipline for him to consider me strict but he'll also tell you I'm fair. He's still grieving his dad and I encourage him to share his thoughts and feelings about it with me. He's 5. Is there something else I should be doing to try to minimize the emotional consequences of his early childhood bereavement? I don't want to pathologize him but I also don't want to miss anything.

Hmm can u maybe just make sure to encourage independence and curiosity? Sounds like you're handling it well giving safe space to express themselves. I'm sorry for ur loss, I imagine it must take alot of strength. I lost my parents at 18. Went thru a hostile home life prior. Balance and strong belief/security in their core within their being is important, as well as learning compassion /empathy/differentiating what they feel vs think, recognizing what thoughts may not be theirs. Sorry starting to ramble. Sincere best wishes.
