In this video, I explain the difference between an Adjective Complement and a Predicate Adjective.
The Adjective Complement (AC) is NOT the same structure as the Predicate Adjective (PA). Though different from the PA, the AC CAN indeed be found INSIDE of a PA. In this video, I give a few examples of this feature.
The AC "complements" an Adjective, whereas the PA "complements" the Subject of the sentence.
An Adjective Complement can be realized in THREE forms:
(1) Noun Clause: "I'm overjoyed THAT SHE LOVES ME."
(2) Prepositional Phrase: "She's very interested IN PSYCHOLOGY."
(3) Infinitive: "I'm relieved TO KNOW THAT SHE'S SAFE AT HOME."
