Yes it does. In fact I've seen some ECMs with as many as 7 separate grounds. Each feeding a different side of the system and separate sensors. As a rule O2 grounds are separate. A ground is a RELATIVE measurement. So, usually ground is Neg. battery terminal, but if you take a resistor or voltage divider network and take your ground point after it, then that's floating ground. It is called floating because the reference point is something else other than battery ground or Neg. Hope that helps.

Yes, usually to avoid ground noise. Naturally, since floating ground is not normal battery ground it is not prone to noise. This is why FG is used largely on radio circuitry.
