I know what you mean. When we were kids, my older brother started listening to classical music. I called him dumb or something, but then he sat me down and had me listen with him. I was blown away, and now it's one of my favorite genres.

You could have added one more half-loop, ending at the A7, segueing into the March portion of Beethoven's Ode to Joy as a victory theme, and using the ending of that piece as a coda
