I would have even gone so far as to write, “These aren’t the drawers you’re looking for.” on there! Luke has always been my husband…since I was six and first saw him on screen. Even now he takes my breath away anytime he’s on screen. Love Yoda too. When I first learnt Photoshop, I took a photo of the paddocks at sunrise outside my front door and put a Star destroyer overhead with the Falcon and some TIE fighters and X Wings flying about. There was a burnt out car up on my verge years ago and I put the Wampa behind the wheel. I took all the photos at the SW exhibition in Sydney.

I DID NOT trust the process. I admit I was eye-rolling. As someone who hasn't watched Star Wars past the ones that came out long, long ago when I was a teenager, I was muttering about the quality of the film dialogue if those were the choicest quotes available ... and I immediately tense up when "shabby chic" or mock industrial vibes are part of a project ... BUT I SHOULD NOT HAVE DOUBTED YOU! The graphic quality of the script looks great and the subtle curve of the original hardware in enhanced AND you gave it just enough "shabby" to take away the flatness of a chalk paint finish. Really well done and it looks wonderful in your space.

My only criticism is that this is so creative and used so many different ideas and materials -- put together perfectly -- that it doesn't feel like anything I could ever do! The original piece was nice and interesting. Now it's just wonderful. And yes, the framed Tatooine poster works perfectly! You are truly an artist.

That little cabinet looks great! Just the right amount of "distressing" too. Some people do too much and make the item look like it was dragged behind a truck through a gravel pit. My favorite Star Wars quote is "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter." Favorite character is a toss up between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.

I LOVE what the dry brushing added to that piece! As a nerd, the Star Wars alphabet warms my heart and makes it so special, but even if someone (Lord forbid) had never seen nor heard of Star Wars, it still looks like a really cool piece! Painting that vent black was absolutely what needed to happen also! I personally love the drawer liner. It’s so neat and will be easy to clean. If you hate hate hate the sheen, add a layer of matte modpodge. The checkerboard would be cool on the underside of the drawers. Most adults wouldn’t see it but any young padawans visiting with their masters would.
